Finally some pics of my new toolbox and tools. I added some magnetic labels. This is my 30+ year collection as a homeowner getting tools as I need them for projects. Not a bad collection for a shade tree mechanic.

Here is the full width drawer loaded with my collection of sockets. Missing a few here and there especially in the SAE side I will fill in as I can.

Ooops missing photo. Looking to get some wrench holders so I can combine the SAE and metric into one drawer.

Allan wrenches. I had a good idea and used a quart oil jug cut in half as an organizer for loose wrenches..

And one final shot showing the box and you can see the new stainless steel bench top on the right of the box

That was the celebratory toast after finishing the wheel bearing replacement on the wife's mini van beer...

Yup, all paid for. Even all the vehicles are free and clear. Two cars, a truck and 2 motorcycles with clear titles.

Nice toolbox setup! I have the same in black. FYI, you can swap the left side cabinet door around to open in the other direction. They are made to open either way.just my 2cents....

I just learned about this brand. Canadian made, and the prices for the larger units don't seem too bad. Around $1k for a 56" roller, right?

Great looking toolbox. Thanks for the pics.

Which series/model of International box is it? How deep are the drawers?

I believe they are called value series. Too lazy now to go measure the depth but some literature says 18-7/8.

Sure, the holes are predrilled. Unscrew the 5 or 6 screws, flip the door around and screw it to the opposing side. I touched up the old holes with some paint to prevent rust.

I looked at the SPG International website. The Value Series has two depths: 18 1/4" for the 42" wide box, 24" deep for the 56" wide box, and 24 1/2" deep for the 75" wide box. Curious how they have 3 different depths in the same series.

A local dealer sells SPG toolboxes, and the prices seem very good for made in Canada. I love your choice in the blue color Greatwhitewing.

The big drawer holding your sockets, does it have dual slides?

Does not and under the weight of the sockets you can feel it's a bit "wobbly". One of the reasons I said this was a good choice for a home owner like me and not for a professional.

After around 6 months I am still satisfied with my choice.

If it becomes an issue, you might want to think about putting all your sockets up top. Then swap the wrenches into that drawer. That's a lot of weight in those socket only drawers... Otherwise nice collection:thumbup:

It appears as though those 40" ones do not, however my 56" Value does in fact have dual slides on top on the full length drawer as well as the bottom right big drawer (similar design to the 40").

peoples tool boxes. :D

Does anyone know if I can get a 4 cabinet setup with a 56" box? Ive done a ton of searching (most has lead to this site!) and decided the international value series is really a value for my moderate home shop use. The final straw was that is was made in canada.

Was hoping to spend around $1200. Anyone know of a sweeter deal out there?
http://www.qualitytoolsforless.com/International-4221-VRS4200

BUT COSCO has the 56" 2 cabnet setup for only $1250!!
http://www.costco.ca/SPG-Internatio...nopy-and-Cabinet-Combo.product.100053992.html

SO, if I got the one from COSCO, can I ad those side cabinets? Cant seem to find them sold individually. Would prefer to buy the whole package in one turn.

THANKS!!

Austin
