3/8'' Cordless Drive Ratchet Recommendations?

Looking for suggestions for a 3/8" Cordless Drive Ratchet. I've been using Mac Tools 1/4'' Cordless 3/8'' Drive Ratchet for nearly a year now through extensive everyday usage, held up really great. It's pretty much beaten up from dropping it a few times as well as getting it into tights spaces to access the bolts.

I'm looking for personal experiences from 3/8'' Cordless Drive Ratchet users so I can see Pros and Cons of what brand/make/model it is.

Milwaukee ones aren't to my likings. I've checked it out earlier today from Cornwell Tools and I just didn't like the feel of it. It was priced at $228 for the 1/4'' Drive or the 3/8'' Drive.

I've already ordered the 3/8'' Drive Cordless Ratchet from Snap On, should be here sometime next week. Supposed to be a new item that they came out with, so I'm looking forward to this.

Last I looked I didn't see much advantage in a 3/8 cordless. It was barely stronger than the 1/4 drive. Personally I would skip 3/8 and stick with 1/4 and 1/2. I looked at Dewalt most recently when I was thinking about going lithium.

What's the Torque on Dewalt and Durofix?

I'm not so much worry on the battery life. Most of those kit comes with 2 Rechargeable Batteries and a Charger.

I know that my 1/4'' Mac Tool Cordless Ratchet has been a great investment. My other technician always uses it.

I know that the 1/4'' Mac Tool Cordless Ratchet and the 3/8'' Mac Tools Cordless Ratchet is the same price, same Torque, same batteries. Only difference is the 3/8'' Drive Head. So there's really no point in purchasing the 3/8'' from Mac Tools.

I believed the Snap On one is a little bit stronger. They just came out with it because it was on their flyers that they pass out weekly. I just placed an order for it earlier this week. Thought it would be nice to have. I've looked at a few other brands of 3/8'', they were either tool bulky or didn't have a nice feel to it.

3/8'' does serve a purpose, I do alot of interior car work as well. Opening panels, seat belts, dashboards and etc.

I have more 3/8" sockets than 1/4", so I went with the 3/8" Milwaukee. At the time, there weren't many options, and the Milwaukee was some of the smaller ratchets available. A new kit is only $160.

Anyone have a link to the Snap On flyer? I won't be buying one, but I'd like to see what it looks like.

Just bought the M12 Milwaukee 3/8" and like it so far. I have several other M12 tools that I am very happy with.

I'll try to see if I can find that flyer tomorrow when I open the shop. I know that the 3/8'' Snap On Tool Cordless Ratchet is part Stainless Steel/Chrome based on the flyer picture. It's new so it's not even on the Snap On Tools website yet.

It may be Blue Point, it was on the Snap On Tool flyer. Something new and I am in the market for a 3/8'' Cordless Ratchet. Gave the word to my Snap On Tool guy to order me a set.

FYI Matco is coming out with a 3/8 cordless this fall in their new 12v Infinium line. They are in the final development stages now. They already have the 12v 1/4" drive that is an awesome seller. They had to re-engineer the 3/8 so the power would be more compareable to the air versions, instead of just putting a 3/8 head on the 1/4dr now.

I just got home but I grabbed that Snap On Tools Flyer. Here's the 3/8'' that I ordered. It's from Blue Point. I'll post some pictures when it gets here Thursday/Friday.

Matco Tools doesn't come around where I'm at. Only Snap On, Cornwell and Mac Tools.

I cannot see myself using something that bulky, especially when it cost more than my milwaukee, and comes with Nicad batteries.

the two best ones ive used so far are the MAC tools and milwaukee one

the M12 is my go to ratchet along with my dewalt impact

the mac tool one was nice but its longer and heavier. i like the fact the m12 was light

Mossyboy6- If you could give us a small detailed review on this, that would be awesome. I see the torque output is rated at 690in. lbs, or 57.5ft lbs, nice for the size. I am in the market for a solid 3/8'' cordless that can stand daily abuse.

I have the milwaukee and I would highly recommend it. There are times were I forgot it was a battery. I bought this along with the milwaukee impact gun and I can say they really preform great .Found the best price on amazon

Looks like that BP is a robbery. Milwaukee blows that thing out the water (specs wise) and it isn't nearly as bulky.

After 4-5 weeks, I've finally got my 3/8'' Cordless Impact Ratchet from Snap On. It's a Blue Point one but none the less, this thing is heavy and HUGE! Been using it all day today in removing a 2001 Honda Accord V6 Transmission to be rebuilt, it works awesome! A little HUGE but awesome!

If anyone decides to get this, even though it's Blue Point, you'll be surprised how HUGE this tool is!

I have the mac tools 3/8 ratchet and it works a treat it has plenty of power and if you need more brake out a impact gun lol thay have a deal with dewalt so it has dewalt's 10.8v 1.5ah xc battery it is well made has a nice grip and is well balanced in the hand you get the feeling that you can use it all day long the down side is the the price hear in the uk it is a wallet rapeing £320 Inc vat and it is 14" long and can be a pain to get in to some spots but on the hole if you can justify the cost it will be a good investment

That Blue Point is huge! For that size I'd expect 1/2" drive and 100+ft.lbs.

The new snap on cordless ratchet ate smaller and more powerful than the old big blue point...but they're plastic body, not aluminum lime that one

I have the 1/4 and 3/8 Snap On cordless ratchet. well worth the price especially on the 3/8. I ended up buying the bare tool for the 1/4 and used the extra battery that came with the 3/8 for it.

However, i end up using air for the 1/4 as its pretty bulky
