So i spent all day organizing and transferring my tools to my new box at work.
I might should have got a bigger box. Im only 21 and I love being a diesel mechanic. I can tell I havent been doing my job long because I can say I still love it without choking on my words.

So for being 21....let me know what you guys think of my collection

Interesting, I have the same box and use the drawers almost exactly the way you have them.

Thanks guys, im pretty pleased with my purchase. That snap on credit line is a killer though, 19% :shocking:
so i took my dealer cash this morning and he dropped it off for me. Since i use tools for a living, im hoping it wont take long for this box to pay for itself.

Im not a chevy guy but dammit i cant help but love that year, body style, color, and MOTOR. I always thought i would be a die-hard cummins but two of my buddies bought two diesels at the same time one is a '10 cummins and the other is '05 dirtymax. And i have to say i like the chev better. Ugh my dad would be pissed...

Battlegraduate09, nice box and tool arrangement stay on the oilburner side and you will be happy! Can you show a pic of your Chev with the hood raised, I want to see if there is room for a Cummins in front of that Allison?

Thanks alot guys, This is my first snap on box.

This box sure did look bigger on the snap on truck though. And empty.

Oh well. I think I will end up with a matching service cart eventually, put the most used sockets and what not in there.

You're off to a great start for a young guy. Well done!

Now pay off that damn box as fast as you can! :)

Don't be like so many others and only think of monthly payments, living paycheck to paycheck for the rest of your life. Work long and hard when you're young, get lots of experience early on. It will do you in good stead for the rest of your career. You need good tools, but you don't want to be a slave to the Snap-On guy either.

I agree 100%. A deciding factor on getting this box was actually that i didnt have to finance it. I paid the snap on guy cash today for it, and it sucked to spend that much money at once on a toolbox, but its out of the way i guess, now im going to pay the truck account off next week i belive. He had that box for over a month and couldnt move it, i offered 2600 cash and he took it.
Then i gotta pay off matco :shocking:
I actually take great pride in how i manage my money at my age. I have always been like that though. Worked since i was 15 and learned the value of a dollar early on. thanks for the compliment

haha that was you that bought the arctic silver 1022 ? im glad you did because we had plenty of room to roll mine on the truck and get it to work. he doesnt have anything as of now. he had a black top and bottom craftsman chest that somebody sold him, and he sold that today while i was at his house to a neighbor. He mentioned he got a call about an extreme green one today but he said he wont take it because he knew he would have one extremely pissed off customer... meaning me :D
