Alternatives to AC Hydraulic jacks?

I've been using my Torin Walmart jack for about 3 years now. I've had zero issues with it so far, *knocks on wood*. The only problem is that at the maximum height I can't jack up the rear of my car. So i'm on the hunt to look for something else.

The AC Hydraulic jacks fit all the requirements that I'm looking for, except for price. But that point is moot since no one sells these jacks anymore. These are the requirements i'm looking for.

1. Lowered height less than 4 in
2. Raised height more than 17 in
3. Weight less than 65 lbs. (need to get this off the floor when done)
4. Cost $300ish max

So far found these three:

Anyone one have any other suggestions or any opinions on the ones listed?
I'd prefer American made, but I think all of the ones listed are made in China.

While I love my AC Hydraulics jack, I also use my dads jack a lot. He has had one like in the link below for 20+ years and only recently needed a rebuild. If I didnt have my ac this is probably what I'd buy.

I don't know how good they are but Pep Boys sells a 3 1/2 ton for $99.95 It is foreign made. It depends on the price you want to pay.

Monte wow you guys have some great equipment in the EU. Unfortunately I can't find anyone here in the US that distributes those jacks. Those would have been perfect.

Yeah i've looked at the Hein-Werner and Omega jacks both good reliable jacks, but weigh over 100 lbs. I need to jacks to be semi portable.

There seems to be limited selection for a low profile light weight jack.

Did you do a search on the arcan jack? (@ costco) I believe it meets your requirements, but not 100% sure. Price should be around $110. BTW, isn't pelicanparts selling AC Hydraulics (so it's not exactly moot anymore)?

Arcan at Costco is just at 100lbs or slightly over. Although I will say it has been a great jack for me since I have had it.

At work we have a small 1.5ton Harbor Freight aluminum jack that is very light and has held up great. The owner bought it for us to quickly set lowered cars on the the two post lift but it gets used a lot for other things. One guy had a Silverado 2500 4x4 front end off the ground with it till I warned him that it isn't rated for that. With that said, I would assume the 3 ton would be as good or better.

However for nearly $200 difference, the OMEGA appears to be a good option.

HF (Pittsburgh) aluminum jacks don't stand up to being tossed in and out of the trailer for very long in racing applications. And they require a lot of pumps.

The Arcan Jack is great, i have the black one from Northern, but this thread is a reference for TALL jacks, not good value.

I've been looking for something that goes 26"+ for under $500, and this particular thread is a decent reference

Well, in fairness the OP requested 17+" which isn't tall. Quite a number of the jacks mentioned will go that high, including my alum HF, my AC Hyd and the Arcan I was looking at on clearance in Costco (still kicking myself for not scooping it up for $60).

for high lift jack, i ended up with the ranger RFJ-2TX. 3.5 - 31.5" lift height. got it from garage equipment supply (i think). works great to get the race car up on my setup boxes, and even use it to lift one corner of my 1-ton truck at a time..
