Dorman or Auto 7 replacement parts??

Need to replace a 2001 Hyundai Elantra wiper motor linkage assy. All local autoparts stores carry a Dorman replacement part (#602-700) and would have to special order. For about half the price Amazon has the wiper motor linkage assy from either Dorman or Auto 7. Auto 7 claims for be a OEM supplier for Hyundai and others, don't know about Dorman. Anyone know which manufacture makes better replacement parts or are they all the same and come from the same factory????

Local Hyundai has one in stock, but it must be gold plated for the price they want

Dorman is a respectable company, have bought many small items from them before.

Why not check the scrap yard to see if you can find what ur looking for.

They all import stuff from China.
I have had to warranty stuff from Dorman and have used their customer service.
No problems at all, never dealt with Auto 7, but I have heard of them.

I have a 2005 Santa Fe myself.

Beck/ Arnley is also a very well respected company as well for foreign parts.
Beck/Arnley re-packages a lot of OEM parts.

There is also one company that only carries OEM parts for Korean cars as well.
I have never used them.

Cross check and see if it's the same wiper motor for a KIA car. Most Hyundia and KIA parts are interchangeable and KIA is usually a lot cheaper.

Check out www.rockauto.com ... They sell Dorman and I have used a LOT of their stuff with absolutely NO problems...

Within the last two years, I have installed Dorman lower control arms (complete with Balljoints and bushings) in my wife's 2001 PT Cruiser as well as my 1999 S10 pickup.. Went in smooth as silk and worked a charm!

This. Dorman has been around for at least 20 years, 'cause I was using thier stuff that long ago. I just last week installed a window regulator for the EXPI, purchased from www.Rockauto.com. Perfect. EXACT Fit, same holes in the same places, if anything, the stamped parts seemed thicker, and not as cheap as the OEM regulator.

No, I do not work for Dorman. I'm just a shadetree like most of the guys here.

I know this thread is a couple months old, but I was hoping the OP could offer an update.

I recently bought some Auto 7 wiper blades and they were from the company KCW, an OE supplier. One was actually a genuine Hyundai blade with an Auto 7 sticker on it.

In the OP's position I would go with the Auto 7 part.

I use some Dorman parts and for the most part they are good. If you ever need an oil cooler hose forget them. They will be lucky to last a year. I complained very loudly after replacing their parts twice in two years. Oil cooler hoses **** to replace. They sent me a hundred buck Amex card to make up for the trouble. I certainly can't complain about the customer service.

Dorman makes money selling lower priced versions of popular OEM parts or parts to fill a specific niche that may not be supplied separately by the OEM.
I've used their power window regulators with mixed success. Some last, some don't. Dorman definitely fills a need but, I think you have to judge the quality of their product individually on a part by part basis..

I have used Dorman products for years and have had both good and not so good experiances with them. But all in all a good company to deal with imo. I just recently installed a window regulator for an Expedition from them, fit like it was supposed to, works like the OE (when it was new anyway lol), and was $100 cheaper.
