I am not one for gimmicky type tools, but I saw this at NAPA and was curious. I bought and tried it. It has no lever for changing direction, rather the drive end is pushed through ratchet side to side in order to change direction. The size is alright, cause I have wanted a tiny 1/4 drive, but I do not like the way directions are changed and I don't like the quiet gearless thing. I like my ratchets making noise!

I use mine in tight places when working on the cars, low torque applications. Work great....I bought mine years ago when they were only branded as Titan.

Is this just a one-way, non-reversible ratchet like those old female ratchets where you'd flip them over to change direction?

im guessing its a one way clutch bearing deal like on spinning reels. kinda neat concept, do they hold up to torque?

The Mac one supposedly does. I don't know about these, but I too have a set of the ball end stubby kind, and use them in tight places. If I need more torque, I'm going to put the pipe on a longer handled ratchet, so I'm really not worried about breaking these.

Same here. I got a set of 3/8 and 1/4 drives. I love them. They have some in very handy in tight quarters, and they feel nice.
