I made a thread about opinions on the confederate flag for nothing more than a discussion, from people around the country as opposed to the people in my town and county, as a broader sense of learning. And it was closed when i tried to reply to it, and i want an answer as to why.

You should probably ask one of the administrators of the site, instead of baiting answers in another thread. Also, this forum is more for garage builds, garage tools, and garage rides whether they be bikes, cars, trucks, tractors, trains, and planes. Furthermore, inciting a riot so to speak, and baiting the trolls to post a response will probably result in you getting the Ban Hamma' with no response as to why.

I did not see your other thread, and do not participate in threads that are not much of tools or garage related. However, I have sold tools to you, and have seen some of your pics of your tools, and would like to see you stick around, albeit more inside of the range of garage related and not so much off topic "politics, or religion" which I do believe possibly that is why the other thread got the ax. Good luck either way you choose, but I would highly recommend sending a pm to either Ryan, or Bull to get your true answer.

I think that is what he is doing in this section of the forum asking.

I did not see your other thread,

I think you should look for the topic before you make statements about another poster. the question was a good one if not garage related but the responses took the question off topic.

Good luck either way you choose, but I would highly recommend sending a pm to either Ryan, or Bull to get your true answer.

I would believe the answer is in the responses to the original question as it went of topic very quickly and not in a good way so no need to ask for answers from admin. Honestly I am surprised the topic was not deleted and just locked.

The Civil War as I see it is political. Pretty much what I stated in my first reply to this topic.

Ryan doesn't want stuff that is way off topic or fraught with the potential for drama in Free Parking. Confederate flag discussions might be interesting, intellectually stimulating, and appropriate, but not on a forum that the owner has set up to talk about shop-related stuff. I used FP the other day to ask about brake cleaners, because it didn't fit in any other forum. I imagine that is more in line with what Ryan wants in FP.

In my opinion, when you want an answer about something, you should try to frame your question politely, maybe with a please or a thank you tossed in. Otherwise, it sounds like you are demanding something, and you can only demand things that are owed.

Ib4l. And what does it remotely have to do with your garage? You should have asked if decorating with the star and bars matches your current color scheme.

I closed it. The reason wasn't that it was generating negative responses. The problem was that it's political.

You agreed not to make posts about politics or religion when you signed up here. There are lots of places online where you can discuss those things, and I think it's a great idea to discuss them. But this is the place where the discussion is about garages, and those two areas are specifically off limits.
