Okay, here's the most recent haul waiting to be put away...

I got the red flight case from work.

I think it might be just big enough for my dynasty, a #3 bottle of argon, and all the associated crapola. Thankfully it has wheels.

what makes the wera extensions so nice?

They are very nicely machined, have a satin finish, and are locking. The satin finish is nice so when wearing nitrile gloves and spinning the extension in hand it doesn't pull the glove around. The longer ones 125mm and 200mm have sleeves that let you free-spin the extension, it's awesome. The longer 125mm and 200mm have a lock down near the male square drive that keeps the socket from falling off - great for spark plug sockets and such.

That's a nice set right there.

Thanks!

Amazon showed up again :)

Where did you get all those tools from? I see that you got the hard case from work but what about the rest?

Those are the exact dewalt tools I have but I didn't buy a kit. I haven't seen much of that screw gun but it complements the 3/8" impact really well.

It all came in from a various sources, but most of it was found right here on GJ.

Made a small Hazet test order from Jens Putzier in Germany, that we are VERY pleased with.
Machinery's handbook and some Snap-On stuff from ebay.
The cooler is the result of a hot deal that imploded on Amazon. 165qt for $60 turned into a 36qt for $25
Some VIM S2 torx and hex sets on sale.
Two flarenut wrench sets from Cripe.
Forget where the Armstrong ratchet came from, but the deal was found here.
Knipex stuff from another Amazon deal found here.
The Whia insulated drivers are from Ash at German hand tools.
The 3/4" socket set, SO extensions, snap ring pliers, and everything else is from the GJ classifieds.

Our Mac guy is really pushing those Dewalt kits on the truck. Couple guys bought them and seem happy with them. I passed for now.

Set of Williams 3/4 drive sockets (1 1/16, 1 1/8, 1 1/4 1 5/16) in extremely good shape. Gotta love Ebay; $20
DSCN1406.jpg

Also got a Craftsman bit driver to replace the one I lost a year ago; also included bits and a set of 1/4 drive 12pt Craftsman sockets (9/16-3/16) for $10.95 (another Ebay find: http://www.ebay.com/itm/290729093699?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649)

Also bought a Williams USA 3/8 drive 7/8 deep socket that was supposed to be 12pt, but was mis-listed and was a 6pt. Contacted the seller, and they refunded my money and told me to keep the socket.

Still looking for more 12pt Williams stuff to complete my set (3/8 & 1/4), listing here:

Ok, this didn't arrive today but I thought I would share it for those who hate spilling oil on the valve cover.
Assenmacher oil filter for my Volvo & BMW. They also make a yellow screw on type I have for our Subaru.

Does that work on your Volvo? I have the Hazet equivalent, and while it works for VW/Audi/BMW/Mercedes-Benz and a few others, the Volvo oil filler cap is larger and it doesn't fit. (Too small)

It works fine on the Volvo, used it right before I took this picture. I think it has a smaller diameter but the seal ring is quite large enough to make a good seal and the tabs also make good contact.

Picked up the vacuum gauge from an older gentleman on craigslist. He was asking $15 dollars so I didn't even try to negotiate. It doesn't have a part number but I found similar ones in the snap on catalog dating back to 1942. Any ideas of when this one is produced?? The only number I can read is at the very bottom of the gauge it says US gauge 8978.

PB17B is the code for the case IIRC. The kit is 222AFSMP for metric, perhaps 222afsp? Their site is down at the moment.

I got this new Snappy tool last week. I used it for the first time to see where a broken tailgate release rod fell on the neighbor's truck. Pretty nice. I'm thinking about taking pictures on services where I have to remove spark plugs to sell customers top end cleaning. I think it will cut down on selling unneeded stuff to some customers and may help sell it to those that do need it.

Perhaps but, if I was a customer I'd want a before and after shot and I'm not sure they would see that much of an improvement after a single dose of snake oil. :bounce:
