With my luck, it'll probably turn out to be an expensive piece of crud.

I have a Hein-Warner jack that was purchased several years ago at the suggestion of y'all, but I am keeping that one at my parents' house for when I go back there to work on my car.

I needed a cheaper, spare jack for my apt that I can take with me to friends' houses if I go there to work on my car.

Paid $254 shipped for one of these, which was probably too much coin for a Chinesium jack. :eyecrazy:

Does anyone else have one of these? How well are they holding up? I hope it was worth the extra $140 over the Arcan unit from Costco.

I got the lite weight race jack with the low profile front roller about 6 years ago from HF. I have used it and over stressed it a bunch with no problems.Very satisfied.

About 22 years ago I bought a Vulcan 2 1/4 ton jack, also made in China. I recently started another thread about changing the hydraulic fluid in it. The bottom line is that while I don't use it much, it has held up really well and frankly, I don't see any reason that it couldn't go another 10 years.

One thing that I would suggest is getting a rebuild kit for that jack NOW if you can. I think they are available for AFF jacks. That way, when and if it starts leaking or failing, you have the orings and seals to fix it. There is NO WAY I am going to find a rebuild kit for my Vulcan jack since the company went out of business 15 years ago!
