I really searched all of the recent forums I could but I can't seem to find it.

I happened upon a link to a ton of photos someone took in disgust at their local Kmart. I really believe it was here on GJ but I can't find it!

IF this rings a bell with anyone, please repost that link :willy_nil

Thank you and yes I know, this thread it pointless. :shocking:

If you have a K-mart in your local area go and take your own pictures and kick off a new thread, there must be aisles full of Chinese garbage on the shelves there.

11 years ago we went to a Super K-Mart here in town. The place was dirty and in the clothing department there was a rack of dresses tipped over on the floor. There was 3 sales women busy yacking and ignoring us. My 3 year old granddaugher walked over to them and gave them the finger. 1 of the sales ladies came over and said that little girl just gave us the finger. I told her she probably don't like you and we walked out. That was the first time she ever did that.

I remeber that... pretty horrid. I did respond to that I think, so it should be in my posts.

K-Mart is dying. Every time I go in mine, it looks like the people who work there just don't care about anything and do everything just half-assed enough to get by the manager's approval. Like most other towns, the Wal-Mart store is loaded, and say what you want about Wal-Mart, but the employees seem to have a decent work ethic, a sense of customer service, and just an appreciation of their workplace. Yes, Chinese-made goods has taken over WM as well, but given the choice in shopping at KM or WM, I'll take the latter.

Back in the eighties, I used to pressure wash the sidewalks and dumpster areas of 9 to 12 Kmarts in the Baltimore area. All were clean, professionally run stores where the managers didn't put up with dirt at all. The floors were shined, the bathrooms clean and the shelves orderly. And look out when the corporate honchos came to town, they demanded clean stores. It was once a well run company. They didn't weather the Walmart challenge well at all and with the present owner of the company who also bought Sears, don't expect anything to change for the better.
