1/4 u-joint and custom cover for my kra5311. Went to fabricland, chose a material, gave specs and the lady cut and sew it up for under 60. Snap on wants at least triple that.

Well, I wondered if I would ever see one of these and finally caught a good deal with BIN, no personal marks or grinding, very good used condition. I am quite happy with this FSLF936:

I used mine to pull my plugs just the other day. Great for that. Also have a TSLF936 as well.

Also got a snazzy SHL80 today as well.

Here are some new tools I got from HF. The first picture is a diamond grinding bit set for the HF mini die grinder I had bought the week prior. The second is a picture of 4 adjustable wrenches I got for 10 bucks. It came with a 6", 8", 10" and 12". I also bought a telescoping mirror, great for looking in the spots your eye can't quite reach. That's it for now. Keep your eyes peeled, tomorrow I will post pictures of my tool cart and chest and all my tools.

Not exactly "new" although it's condition isn't far off:

1940 M-70L 9/32 Ratchet by Snap on.

This is the first piece of my Snap on historic tools collection. when I got this, I couldn't believe the condition it's in, I doubt its been used much, if at all. The square drive has no appreciable signs of use, and the ratchet mechanism is smooth as silk, 20 nice clean clicks. The only sign this didn't come from a snap on van in the last few months is the flaking chrome on the back of the drive gear. ( I don't think I'll be claiming on the warranty!)

I contacted the seller after and asked what history he has for it. Apparently, it was his grandfather's originally, then his dad's then his. What I find unusual is a 9/32's ratchet turning up new in the UK in 1940. At that time snap on didn't make whitworth tools yet and most all british vehicles used whitworth threads. Also, most of the War effort support tools made by snap on were the standard drive sizes we all know today. It's also chromed, which the war sets were not.

My old portable trouble light **** the bed a while back and I was on the hunt for a rugged LED replacement.

I just received this Streamlight Knucklehead LED worklight the otherday via amazon for about $73. It is the alkaline cell version. Comes with a powerful magnet that can be mounted to the base and a stowable hook. Head rotates 360, pivot 210.

I'm really impressed with the build quality and light . Has 4 different modes of lighting.

I'm not a tool polisher or collector; my tools put meat and 'taters on the table. If you are looking for a rugged LED light, look no further, you have found it. Read the Amazon reviews.

Not sure where you are located, but most countries lets in about 400-500 dollars worth of goods. Doubt you went over that in tools. ;) Most likely right at the limit of 500.

willhollin, $102.77. Also around $150 in VAT/customs clearance.

The two longer prybars really added to the shipping cost, but had to have them. I have the 12" version from before and I dig it.

That looks to be like it. I am glad when I buy tools, I bring them back myself to avoid all the taxes. 495 euros are allowed each trip duty free ;)

Here are some new tools I picked up at HF. I am going to return the obstruction wrench set and the right angle screwdriver. I inspected the obstruction wrench set at the store, but was in a hurry and only remembered to check if they had all the right sizes. When I got home, I noticed they were quite a bit cheaper then I had thought (who woulda' thought?). The box ends were not milled (cast) in the center like they should have been. The last picture shows one of the wrenches. For the right angle screwdriver, it works but I think I am just gonna return it and buy the blue point one from the truck (only 16 bucks). The last thing is the universal wrench set. These are probably the best set of wrenches they sell at HF. I have not precisely checked the sizes yet, but they look really good. I can tell that they are well made, and not just for a HF product, but if they were craftsman or husky etc. they would still be considered well made. Here are some pictures:

P.S. for some reason I can't upload the pictures so here is a link to them through imgur http://imgur.com/a/7dXHl#0

Seems like everything I've ordered in the past few weeks showed up today. The pistol grip set, putty knives, and caliper ratchet came from GJ member Gally. He even threw in a couple keychains! The kershaw chubby knife came from eBay. Also had a bunch of NWS and one pair of knipex pliers and cutters I ordered from Ash of German Hand Tools. It was like fricken Christmas around here!
