Well I think the time has come to start documenting my Garage escapades.

I purchase my house just 3 months ago and have been working on making it our own. Its time to get the best room of the house in shape.

On the Eve of epoxy-coating the floor, and since the projects here get named, I decided to call it The Double Mustang Ranch or "DMR" for short.

I call it that because at this chapter in life, We (the "wifeperson" and I ) happen to have 2 mustangs for our stable in a very comfortable ranch home.

The first step was getting rid of a garage "closet". Which doesn't sound like too much of a choir until you see the nice brick footer that frames said closet.

a little work with a makita concrete saw and presto more brick dust than when the olympia came down in detroit (yeah re-located Yank-hee) as they say around these parts :D

I also framed in the area above where the closet was (made my measurements off the footer which was a big mistake because it wasent exactly square Ha Ha!) but its easy storage...........

now.......to fleck or not to fleck......... as a 18 year aviation mechanic, I dont like the idea of loosing small nuts and bolts in the pattern on the floor..........No "FOD" for this guy!

ah well time to sleep on it! :)

Good point. Had always just assumed, as pointed out RCR, that the flakes were there to hide the dirt. Hadn't thought about them possibly hiding everything else.

LOL well, to "hide" some floor defects I went with the flecks but sort of "worked them so they would be realy fine (basicly stuck em in a bowl and churned it untill it was more like fleck dust :D.

went a nd bought a new harbor freight work bench (temp fix untill I get the steel together to build the bench I want.) pics to follow tonight when I finish bolting it together :)

Very nice. I am also a little partial to the ponys. What's on the engine stand? Nice work it's a very clean design. The floor is especially nice.

Thanks guys! Don, I used to have a 94 vette with a 383 and LT4 heads.intake :)

The white GT is an 08 the engine on the stand is its 3v. I tossed a rod with a turbonetics kit some time ago.

so now the engine is getting ready to go back in for some mock-up work. have a GTK-1000 for it now. and the glass connecting rods ar long gone!

Very nice, only improvement I can think of is to replace said mustangs and change name to DCR.

LOL well in the not too distant future, I'm hoping that there will be a fox body notch with an Ls motor and a turbo.

I'm really not brand specific but I do tend to lean towards Ford and Chevys because my family (and myself at one point) worked at both.

(I'm a displaced michigander, Loving Life down here in North Carolina building GE90's For General Electric (hence Brian's post :D
