asphalt & concrete garage floor...need help!

We finally cleaned out the garage from moving in and we would love to put an epoxy coat on, however we noticed that when the previous owner put in the asphalt driveway, they continued the asphalt into the garage. I believe they did this to keep water from flowing into the garage. What we have is about a 4-5 foot section of asphalt that is tapered to the concrete. Is there any easy way to work with this???

I have covered asphalt and concrete and had great success, I have also had it not work. Depends, on situation, pics needed.

Tncat is correct. We have a tar based epoxy primer specific for this task.
