Another collectible? item

Communicating with another collector...... this was mentioned. Local hardware store screwdrivers. I have some from various places, and so does he. Sending 1 east in trade to him. A minor investment, $5-6. Just something else to fill a drawer. My local Ace has USA Enderes 6 in 1. Anyone else care to participate?

I have half a dozen of those from when my local mom and pop hdwre store went belly up years ago. All have teh store name on teh handle like yours.

I have 3 orange, one green and one red.

I wasn't sure if Enderes even made that particular design any more.

Sadly, Enderes is out of business now...happened only recently. I sold a fair amount of them over the years at the hardware store. They made great chisels and punches too.
The Lutz 6 in 1 screwdrivers are very nice though. They also have a small 2 in 1. I should know, I have 12 of those from various stores :O

I have had a number of their 4 in 1 screwdrivers over the years, sad to hear they are probably going under. Thanks for the link Mike. I have some of their pin punches and chisels too. great tools!

I"ll have to track them down.

I keep one in each of my 4 cars, one in my work toolbox and one somewhere around the house or in one of my half a dozen home based tool boxes.

It's not a go-to tool for me so they may have "gotten legs" or been removed and lost by a family member. It happens more than I like. Trust me.

That would explain why I say their chisels and punches get pull of the store shelfs by me, that *****. I was thinking pretty hard about a set for home.

I stopped by a few more of my local stores looking for Enderes's with no luck.

Seems the Lutz's are what the mom's and pops are going with.

Good news is Lutzs Tools HQ is based here in Cincinnati so local . Bad news is the mfgr facility is in taiwan and the tools are Taiwan stamped. No news there.

Stores I frequent have orange and green HH with each hdwre store's name.

I so do miss the Enderes 6 in 1's.

It looks similar to the attached picture except the handle is a light shade of blue, not red. Hot-stamped into the handle is "Enderes Tools" and the Enderes Tools logo all in gold. There is also what looks like a padprinted address for my company's web site on the handle. One side of the bit is what I think is a #1 Phillips driver. Other side is a 5/32" slotted driver. The bulk package that the drivers come in is marked Made in USA.
