Dual 80's have always been made in the USA. There are a bunch of bat **** crazy conspiracy theorists on this forum that like to claim otherwise. That does not change the FACTS that the dual 80 has always been made in the USA.

If i remember correctly its only the 1/2" drive they were allowing a swap on due to screw failure.

No.
Both 3/8" and 1/2"
F80 is now F80A. 3/8" drive as well. 1/2" new issue revision is the S80A.

Ratchet sales since the dual 80 was released are up 64%

That's because it's one of the best, if not THE best ratchet out there.

Keep on keepin' on Mr chadster. It's good shiz.

Plus one on this as I have talked to the folks that make them. It didn't take long for the word to get out about the USA on the ratchets though, my dealer texted me inside of 30 seconds.

We celebrated with a beer.....

By the way, sat down with Chadster again yesterday and had a nice time talking to him, any of you that have him for a dealer should be happy.

My bad Chad.

I was told by my driver that both the F80 and S80 had the screw design revision (thus A designation) where teh screws are now thru the back if the head vs. the old attach the plate on the front face mode.
Hmmmm..

I was a big Snap-on fan when I was an aircraft mech. After I retired it was me running for a truck and not them running to me. I sat on broken tools in the trunk of my car for some time and then chase a truck to only have a tude from the driver during the exchange. Not all dealers were jerks but one is enough. I traded all my snap-on at a pawn shop for a compleate Craftsman tool box. Sears is parked at the same place all the time. I am by no means bashing Snap-ons products they make some of the best tools around, but as the saying goes, You get what you pay for.:headscrat

While you guys at the dealer's show are patting the company boys on the back for the "Made in USA" stamp on the ratchets, talk them into going back to stamped markings on tools rather than laser markings. I would have bought a new pounds-inch torque wrench rather than hunting up a NOS wrench if I could have read the markings on the new one!

I just bought my TL72 and FHLF80 brand new off the website last week, wish I knew this was coming I would have waited. O well, they are amazing ratchets and I know they are made in USA. The stamp would just be the icing on the cake.

Maybe I should read the entire thread but, putting aside USA loyaly, have any of you frequent SO users noticed a quality of preformance difference between the USA and foriegn made ratchets?

1. Hard handles back on ratchets. Check
2. USA stamping back on ratchets. Check

3. Combination wrenches made with a thicker more comfortable beam profile. No Check yet. Let's start a campaign for that too.

If I need to pull on them real hard, I either gotta wear a glove or wrap a rag around them first.

Yes, there is a big difference between Snap-on, USA made ratchets and Duralast, Harbor Freight, Titan and other foreign made ratchets.

Yes, the Snap-on ratchets have a much smoother action than the Blue Point ratchets.
