Its not a matter of politics anyway, its everything to do with personal preference. I wouldnt buy Snap-On, and not just because the prices are out of line and take advantage of small minded brandism to promote that name, but also because I want quality for a lot less. Chinese tools and products are fast surpassing American products, and we only have ourselves to blame, we have been exporting education a hell of a lot longer than jobs, and the technology is now gone. Add to that the average American union worker doesnt have a sense of pride in the product the way they once did, and you have a far more expensive product with a dropping acceptable quality. Don't get me wrong. I think SO boxes are pretty and heavy duty but I refuse to pay what they want when cheaper products will meet my needs. A cheaper product may not meet your needs and I can understand that. What I don't understand is the mindset that less expensive tool owners are somehow inferior in their skills.

very nice, how well do you like the Klutch and earthquake impacts ?
I used them both quite a bit to take apart and redo the suspension on my 86 toyota pickup that was a complete rust bucket, hence my handle. The earthquake does great for a 3/8" and the weight and noise level is good. The klutch has alot of power but is very unbalanced weight wise and really loud, made my ears ring several times when i ran a bolt off with it by my head, but i do not regret purchasing either one of them. I have a bigger compressor than the small one you can see in the corner of some of my pics. 60 gallon with a 1/2" hose helps alot with the power as well

Just picked up KR1100 and a KR1000. Removed all slides, cleaned/lubed them, and replaced all stops and detents. Needed a couple pairs of new slides and put in new liners. Just to give you an idea of what these things can hold even with all the empty drawers and space, I moved all my tools from my 90's Husky 40" top and bottom and another HF 42" bottom that were pretty damn full! As a DIY'er, I just couldn't get over the difference in the drawer depths in 40" cabs and the deeper pro cabs, I've never even seen a big cab in person till I picked this setup up. I did miss at least a couple drawers in the pics.

Not technically a toolbox but close enough. I found it on Kijiiji last night and went and picked it up this AM. been looking for one for a while. It's in great shape and even came with the key. I dont think i did too badly for $80.

this one held a puller set I think. thinking on doing up a board to hold the ratcheting screwdrivers so I can re-claim a drawer in my toolbox.

lol my selection is nothing to be jealous of really. there are a few other members with many more and more rare ones than i have. i just pick em up when I get decent deals on them. That and there's only select ones I'm after so my count will never be huge. There are a few on Ebay right now that I'd love to have but the $200+ asking prices are plain crazy

Absolutely that US General is a far superior box to the Kennedy boxes, the Snap-On boxes, Lista, etc. I know if I was offered a Snap-On box or a US General I'd take the US general, you can't really buy a better box.

I guess you're in NS, eh. Saw that cabinet on Kijiji the other morning and thought it was pretty interesting. I was tempted to drive down to pick it up.

Does that work out well for you? Almost every HVAC guy I see uses a toolbag or pouch carried over their shoulder.

Well technically that one is carried over both shoulders!
I used a clc electricians pouch for a whole but my back started hurting from the weight of the pouch on one shoulder at a time. So I switched back to the tool belt. With this the weight distributed over both shoulders and my waist so I don't really "feel" the weight.

thats what I have, but I have the center drawer and side box.
Heres my Craftsman bottom, top, side cabnet and side shelf. The center section is Mac. I built the spray can holder on the bottom right side.
I have had it since the early 80s with no problems. It does not get used every day, but it gets its share of use and is loaded down. It mostly stays in one spot, not alot of rolling around.

Thanks yeah its nice to have the ipod dock to put my iphone on. I usually put it on internet radio to make the others guys around me happy.
