In my on-going quest for International Harvester tools, I recently scored a new-old-stock IH hacksaw on ebay.

Thanks for checking out my hack-saw!

WOW. Wish I had one to sell you. You do have it bad.

Edit:
You have to have deep pockets to collect those tools. I'll look a little closer for these from now on.

I do have a 1/2 ratchet. What is that worth?

I just came off a thread for $300 2.5" baby Wiltons . . .

You'll have to forgive the west coast boy, but did (does) IH actually sell small tools or was this more of a promotional sort of thing?

No need to ask forgiveness. Questions give us wisdom. International Harvester sold tools branded with their name directly from their equipment dealers. They sold tool boxes and cabinets under the International Tools name that were made by Kennedy and Waterloo. I've even got a gas-can, a battery charger and booster cables that were all branded IH. Heres a couple catalog pics:

Case International sells tools and toolboxes from their equipment dealers today. Most of their hard-line tools are re-branded Blue Point tools.

Thanks for that. Nice little niche you have found yourself there. My dad has a similar interest in Firestone branded tools. Me, if it's made in the USA and predates the moon landing, I'm generally good.

Damn, I'm a big IH fanboy myself, more with the tractors though, I have one (a 1964) and that's all my uncle has on his farm, old IH tractors.

I think I would have been better off not knowing they had made any tools though, now I'll have to keep an eye out for them ;)

The tools tend to be hard to find........but easy to get addicted to!

I think it's cool as hell that you collect IH stuff! I've read your posts before on them, and always get a kick out of them.
I also keep an eye out for IH stuff because of them. (haven't found anything yet though)

Thanks, Brad! I'm happy you (and others!) enjoy the IH tool posts.
