Priced up a Snap-On TD117a Tap & Die kit for a friend @ £418 + VAT (20%) from the local truck

Found him one on ebay for £248

Was quite impressed by that. Was a few weeks ago.

However, as I didnt have that sort of cash available for a single purchase, I managed to purchase all the individual US Made Irwin taps and Dies but not the HSS drill bits seperately for £132 all in.

Will get pics soon

Thank you, those look awesome, and I'm forever looking for a quality set everytime a transfer case is the last one I'll work on lol

The guy at the store said they have a lifetime warranty, but being NOS he wont be able to get those same pliers ever. Now I am in a pickle, they are high quality but if they break I am SOL.

Might go back and see if there is any left.

these came over the last couple days from GJ members. The ratchet and ratcheting screwdriver are from Franzdom and the Mac stubby nut drivers are from WChamberlain
IMG-20120814-00575.jpg

if you ever want to sell that yellow ratchet screwdriver I would be interested, I have one exactly like that that Ive had and use daily for 26 years now lol, I have always wanted another one but the new ones just arent the same.

Mine doesnt look anywhere near that nice, the branding and model are pretty shallow these days on mine.

Estwing 16 oz hammer and warranty replacement Armstrong ratchet due to a broken flex joint lever on the old one. Got to keep the old one so this one is a new tool. From the good people at Epstein.

Awesome Plomb ratchet bart1. Feeling just a tad jealous here.

I'd be interested in your review of this tool after you have used for a while. It's been a brand that has peaked my interest lately

haven't used it yet but have another sioux drill (different model) and it's the reason why i jumped on this one at that price

Been on the hunt for a ratchet to handle all of the suspension and front end work I need to do. I went to pawnshops, Lowes, and Sears found nothing I liked or trusted to do the work. After failing to find what I needed I went to a tire and wheel shop looking wheel and tire combo for my suburban, struck out. As I leave a truck boxes me in, I have words with driver and come away with this.

Had to warranty a 3/8 Napa Roto Ratchet and since they could not locate a replacement they had to give me a brand new Carlyle Roto Ratchet. 100 teeth and a length of just under a foot make this thing pretty neat. The blue button also doubles as the quick release.

Those Lisle oil filter tools are the bomb. One of the best tools for the stubborn ones. If you have the room...

I have several of those. They work like a champ for small to medium filters. They make a larger one for the larger filters. I suggest it as well.

Good purchase.

I never had good luck with that style. They work if you can put additional pressure on it with your hand but in really tight locations it just didnt do it. I purchased a Hazet one that is a much better design and can be used in either direction. 3 arms crush into the filter the more you turn it. Thats the last filter wrench you'd have to buy ;).

Why would I need to use an oil filter removal wrench in EITHER direction?????????

You use them to take filters off. Not put them on. Correct?

A correctly installed oil filter should be oiled seal and semi-aggresively hand tight for the old skool one piece remove and toss type.
If not, please stay away from my cars at least.

Thank you.
