At this point I thought I'd just show off a little. I'm pretty proud of the few things I've done in my garage. It's fairly crammed in there but not to terribly much. I keep it where it's nice and tidy and easy to find things. I also keep it where my wife can still park inside. I like for her and my little girl don't have to get out in the weather to get in the car. That's just one of my little pet peaves. It's not much but let me know what you think. Most of what I did on it came from ideas I got from surfing this forum. So I guess I should be thanking all of you for the ideas.

Here's from the outside looking in with the wife's car inside.

Here's my mower and weedeater.

My 4 wheeler and bicycles. Along with the fridge. I'm a bit of a prepper as well so the fridge is stocked full of water. 8 cases.

Drill press I recently bought a couple days ago. Should work for what little jobs I will use it for.

My 4 wheeler helmets in old metal milk crates.

My tool box.

My work bench and storage.

TV.

The fridge, deep freeze, and rolling cart. That old rusted rolling cart keeps all my gas cans in the bottom, and lawnmower parts and what not in the top. Both top and bottom lock.

Odd and end signs above the door.

Like I said it's not much but I've enjoyed working on it and working out of it. Let me know what you guys think and maybe what I should improve on.

You've got some very nice things going on in there. Big congratulations, you'll fit in here just fine!

My first suggestion would be to add light. Obviously more lumens via lighting fixtures, but anothwer way would be to lighten up the color in there. I like your brown but I'd suggest a lighter color above. Maybe off white, cream, or even a light yellow. The paint mis-mix pile at your local Home Depot or Lowes is the place to go. Buy cheap, mix it all together til you get something you like and go for it. Don't worry about mixing flat with semi gloss, etc. Hey, its a garage, remember? (Most of us forget that here, ha ha)

Also, you need some up-out-of-the-way storage. I'd suggest a shelf above the garage door and reposition your decorative signs. Use that for those ice chests, seasonal decorations, etc. I'm about to do this in my garage and I'm gonna use pallets as a cheap source of components for it.

Best of luck and keep posting!

My idea would be for the prepper side of you. Take the 8 cases of water out of the fridge and use that space for other goods/food. Water is good at room temperature :)

Both of those are to suggestions that I have been looking into. Everyone told me that I needed more light when I built the house and I wish now I'd listened. 2 4 foot flouresent fixtures are in the near future I hope. I also agree with the up and out of the way storage. I'm still studying on home I want to go about doing it. There's so many different ways and I've got to decide which way is gonna be best for me.
