Oil Lift Drain

Since my new lift will hopefully be installed next week I'm looking to go ahead a get a new telescopic-type oil change bin.

First off I could not figure out what to call the dang thing. I knew what I wanted, but without a good search term it took me a few minutes.

What do you guys thing of this one made by Lisle via Amazon that holds 8 gallons?

Is there a better one to consider? Another place to buy one or buy this same one?

I like the ones that you can pressure up to pump the oil out of the tank when you are through.

I think Horrible Freight has some and I am sure there are others out there, too.

That HF one that does that is $165! I'm just changing oil on my personal cars and I'm not looking to spend that much coin. To be honest the $100 for the one I linked to is a stretch, but the 5-gallon HF one looks like complete **** in the store.

We have one that you pump out at the shop but before we got that one we had 4 of the lisle ones they will work perfect for what your doing

I have the Lisle you listed, it's been great thus far for me. Only drained oil and some coolant thus far.

I made my own with a plastic barrel etc. The best part is the oil pump from a car engine that is driven with a cordless drill to empty it. I can also use reverse and **** oil out of alternative containers used for mowers, bikes ,etc.

I have this one. When it gets about half full (any more and it gets a bit too heavy) I'll throw it in the truck, go to the landfill, and hand pump it into the oil containers.

build one out of a 30lb propane tanke some pipe and a funnel did one here till had the cash for a hf one hf is definatly worth it but the regulater is junk or invest in a trany jack then put one of those black under car ones on top of it then you have a two tools for under lift

I don't do a lot of oil changes, so I went as cheap as practical. http://www.tooltopia.com/lisle-11102promo.aspx

It works fine for my needs, and it's light enough to lift up to pour into my holding tank. The promo transmission tray works good when dropping pans, you just have to NOT catch the edge with your elbow.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I was excited to see the Dannamar one for almost half the cost, but the shipping charges made me go with the Lisle model I originally linked to.

Now I'm just waiting on my lift to be installed to put it to use!

The lift installer is at my shop right now. By tonight I should have all the wiring done and it will be good to go.

I received the Lisle model referenced above last weekend. None of my vehicles need an oil change at the moment so I haven't used it.

My question is to my fellow owner's of this one, how do you keep from pulling the tube out too far (past the sliding clamp) and out of the fixed (lower) tube?

I have a lift in my home shop which I only use for maintenance on my personal cars. I've had the same oil lift pan that you are considering to purchase for about eight years and it works great. I'd buy it again...no complaints.

I don't think you can stop it from coming out
be careful how far you pull it when it's dirty I guess!
