I'm posting this about 20 seconds to end of auction. Should I buy it?

I think it is crazy for that amount but the older stuff in good condition goes nuts on ebay.

I would probably just go buy it new for $404 (12 point) or $406 (6 point), but that's just me.

$404 !! Even for Snap-on that's getting pricey. I was able to find an old 1958 price list which has the same style ferret kit. It was $36.05 then and when adjusted for inflation would be about $260 now.

The crazy thing is the metal box is an extra $50!!!! Check the fine print on their site.

If they can sell it for that then more power to them but I have to wonder if they are starting to overprice themselves especially with the current economy.

By the way, I like Snap-on and have quite a bit which is mostly inherited or used and a few I bought new. Not trying to bash on them.

Maybe that's why the eBay buyer paid $455. They knew what the metal box cost.
