reelcraft RT650 + LG3040-123-9

About to pull trigger on Reelcraft RT650 and Reelcraft LG3040 for garage. Anyone have either of these?

Will get the occasional weekend use. The reel craft power is $100 more then the cheaper ones, but thinking it might be a better made product?

Also -- can I go right into the reel with the rapid air system? or should I use their manifold mounted on ceiling?

Man, that's high buck. FWIW, I mounted my HF unit with a shut off right at the unit and a drip leg. It was $50 on sale and works 10x better than the 35' Craftsman unit I had before.

James - I have a number of the "RT" or ReelTek series hose reels in use. 5 are used for air supply around the shop and one is being used by the house for the water hose. After about 6 years of occassional use on the air reels and 2 years on the water, I haven't had any problems.

I think they're considered Reelcraft's economy version, but I found them to be a good solid reel and perfect for the homeowner with weekend use. I chose them because of their plastic drum - corrosion is a big problem where I live. Price is about midrange as far as reels go. I think they turned out to be a great value.

Sorry - I can't comment on the electric reels, but would have to assume they are decent, coming from Reelcraft.
