Where's the best place to purchase Grip-On locking pliers?

I know there's Amazon, however, Chad's toolbox seems to have the best prices. Any others?

The two retailers you mentioned would be my top picks, but Sears (online only) has (had?) a nice selection and fair prices.

I believe I have also purchased Grip-on pliers from industrial suppliers - probably MSC.

I'm a little leary of Chad's based on my previous experience with them, however, I've been told as long as they have the pictures of the product on the website, it's in stock.

Pecking through Sears Online didn't pull up much.

That's not true at all. Their [in]ability to know and accurately represent in stock items is why I won't bother with them anymore. I'll pay a few bucks more and order from Snap On if they have something close enough (made by Grip On just a different/narrower selection of pliers). Worse case they will get within a week and ship, where with Chads...who the h*** knows.

See...this is what scares me.

Zorotools stocks "Proto" locking pliers, which are rebadged Grip-Ons finished in the Proto black and red, at fairly reasonable prices. If you look around, there are plenty of Zoro coupon codes, too.

http://www.zorotools.com/g/Locking Pliers/00057720/

The three-piece set works out to $17 a plier - before any applicable coupon codes. That's a pretty good deal on Grip-On. They come in a USA-made plier roll (that's not listed in the description).

Shipping was fast and trouble free (seems to have drop shipped from Grainger, actually. Not sure what kind of deal Zoro has with them).

Chads has the widest selection and if you're unsure whether or not they have something specifically in-stock, just fire-up the live chat and ask them. They've always been pretty helpful when I've ordered Grip-On items from them.

And I was also going to mention googling Proto locking pliers. There's various retailers which carry the Proto locking pliers which are Grip-On, just rebadged and with a different color enamel coat. I've seen some super deals out there.

And then of course, there's fleabay, where you could pick up one of the older Blue Point locking pliers sets w/the tool roll and they're the rebadged Grip-On's as well. Usually found in red and black enamel, with the bulk majority of the body being red.
