Lowes clearance deal

I stopped in my local Lowes today and picked up a 34pc 3/8 drive Kobalt ratchet and socket set (SAE) including a 8'' adjustable wrench and metric and sae allen wrenches for $7.99. I didn't need it but it was too cheap to pass up. I comes in a nice plastic module to fit in your toolbox. Regular price was $29.99.

Just FYI... these are NOT the same as any of the current or previous (that I am aware of) Kobalt tools, at least in terms of the ratchet and sockets.

For some reason this module has some cheap China-appearing ratchets/sockets/etc. Perhaps that is why they are getting rid of it? It may be the same as the Task Force ones.

from what i have seen, they are worse than task force quality. for 8 bucks its not bad, but 30 was a joke.

The box does say 'made in China', it also says hassle free lifetime warranty so if Lowes doesn't go out of business soon I think its a pretty good buy. Great to carry for road trips or when BIL wants to borrow tools.
