I think they are neat and would love to have them, if I had about 1/3 of the tools I have now or a big krl box to store my stuff, and also what happens if you are greasy and touch them or your tools change? If my ratchet breaks and snap on gives me one that is shorter or longer because they are no longer made or instead of the plastic screwdriver grip, I get a comfort grip, what would you have to do to make it fit? cut it?

And there's your problem. You are locked into a certain amount of storage and a certain setup. I'd [personally] look for something a little more versatile/flexible. It does look neat though.

I think you may do better buying the tool control kits and cutting them to suit your needs. With what you are showing you seem stuck with the layout they give you. It leaves you no way to group tools the way "you" use them. It has been my experience that over time you organize tools to fit the way "you " work and think. I have reorganized my tools several time as I add tools and take on different projects. Just my HO.

If you have seen my drawers under the thread "Pimpin' my drawers", you'll know I'm (possibly stupidly) fussy about my drawers.

I think you could make your own as you go with a Dremel. The others are right about tool density and your collection and usage. I don't think it's realistic to say that you'd only reach in with clean hands (though you could probably reach in with a clean paper towel or shop rag) but foam rubber can also be taken out and cleaned every so often. It's also easy to cut out a section of it and replace if necessary for new/different/additional tools.

It seems like a good idea, until you realise this only works if you have the same exact set of tools as the seller.

Great observation, Moose . It would need to be Snap-on all the way, not that theirs anything wrong with that.

On a side note :I don't think many would actually store hammers, punches and prybars with their sockets , unless you had very small amount of storage. What do you do with the extra tools?

As mentioned multiple times, what a waste of space!

No wonder some people need a Snap-On box larger (and more expensive) than either of my cars...
