I've seen a similar one a few months ago on fleebay that had a similar handle. What I find even more strange is the semi-enclosed lead screw. Not too sure why they did this?? I know you can grease it much easier, but the same opening will let metal shavings and debris get into a freshly greased screw. Almost like flies on a fresh pile of dog sh#t.
Anytime I see one with an exposed lead screw I pass. 99.9% of the work I do revolves around metal fabrication and welding.

Nice...did not think about that....I think you correct .....plus you can round items by hammering it on the handle??
