I found this old 1960's Miller Falls 1/2" electric impact wrench at a local swap meet. It was clean, a few scratches, and laying on a shelf when I spotted it. I had owned a similar IR model, except last year it shorted the motor and was trashed.

I asked the guy what he wanted and he said $25 -- SOLD. After I pay him he pulls me aside and roots around a bit and comes up with the original metal case.

I open the case and HALLELUIAH!! it's filled with a complete set of PROTO impact sockets and a beautiful new Jacobs chuck.

Going out to play the lottery now -- see ya!:bounce:

Awesome score!

What are electric impacts like? I'm sure they're much like pneumatics, but i've never used one as far as i can remember.

The cheap ones are really rattley... but the nicer ones (like the above) are a little smoother. NO comparison to an air impact for power though.

Seriously, goodfellow, that was a badass deal!!! I'm jealous... :pimpflash

Great deal!

I actually have a bunch of Millers Falls impact sockets. I wouldn't be surprised if they were originally from a set like that one. Millers Falls tools were made near where I am living and are fairly common to find at yard sales around here in western MA. Good stuff.

I also have a bunch of those Proto "DYNA-RING" impact sockets. The white paint in the lettering on those sockets seems to be an original factory feature. Every one that I have ever seen had at least some of the paint left in the lettering.
