This is...was the tool room I planned on using on the main floor, but after I started to set up the fabrication area, there simply wasn't enough room. Especially with one of the walls being 18" thick. I'm removing that wall and building a new one along the duct work.
I will re frame the utility/compressor room to gain some more space.

Thanks guys!

A friend of mine started calling it the "Squatch Shop"

The opposite outside wall in the fabrication area was a 18" thick. I was able to gain 13" and find a few surprises as well! Good thing I decided to remove the wall. I was told it was for extra insulation....LOL:eyecrazy:

My Budget 30' and 20' steel beams being delivered. They came with a trolly too.

The barn doors were opened up to 10' from 7' window opening. Much nicer.

This is gonna be a cool space when done. Hell its cool now! I hope to build a hotrod in mine when complete also. I wish I had the space you do! That is awesome what you are doing with the building. I have seen a diamond t truck a couple years ago turned into a hotrod. You have many projects lined up it seems like. Keep up the work!

Its been raining alot and there have been a few small leaks.

The previous owner replaced a number sheets of tin and screwed the whole roof (2000 screws).

We had the use of a boom truck for the weekend, I was planning on painting the roof black but it wasn't in the cards.

I have to thank my buddy Mark for taking care of the patch work.
Me: Do you think your flip flops are a good idea??:shocking:
Mark: Oh ****. I'll be OK...
Thankfully there were no incidents!

More yard work. Had a cool older gentleman come in with his little bulldozer.
There was a small rock sticking up in the driveway that turned into a bolder. Ive never owned a boulder before. Pretty cool.

The ditch was made a bit more prominent as people still would drive trough it and over the curb?? Ouch:lol_hitti

As the new entrance was formed, the grade leading up to the building was too steep. So we leveled it out.

Big changes inside.....

I made that pic bigger as it is easier to see. Whats the problem with pics ? You should make a feature of the rock.

Nice looking place! How do we all get ourselves invited to next years party??!! Not sure about fixing the grade though... sounds like you could of had a money maker in the repair business by leaving it the way it was! I'll be watching this thread, and can't wait to see some of your work...

I just saw your post on the Ottawa Kijiji classifieds and did a search for Long Sault hot rods, which brought me to this thread. Nice score, I'm also trying to find an older building around Rockland so I can do my work in (non commercial). Keep up the great work, might need to take a ride this summer and check it out :)
