for anyone who owns these, where have you found these to be particularly useful where other wrenches lack?

I am guessing he means the Indexable wrenches, not "Flex Wrench"?

EDIT: Looks like GearWrench calls "Indexable" and "Flex-Head" a "Flex wrench"

for anyone who owns these, where have you found these to be particularly useful where other wrenches lack?

I bought them on Monday, already used them on Wednesday (and I am a DIY-er) for a bolt that my hands weren't strong enough to turn, that a ratchet wouldn't fit on, and that my pathetically short CM RPs were too short to reach. Sure, a normal long wrench would have been fine - but the "piston action" (I think that is the "official title" for it) made removing the bolt ridiciulously faster. (Toyota 1MZFE in a '94 Camry. Damn I hate those cars now. Go Volvo)

These are great for FWD transverse-mounted engine work.

Another note: They are super long - AWESOME

I have had a set in my toolbox for about a year. They are longer and are helpful in access challenged spots where a straight wrench just won't work well.

I bought this latest set to throw in the Jeep since they were a deal.

thanks to both of your for the response... how long are these? i can see the extra length being a useful feature to reach certain hard to reach places. i wish these where also flex-head though... I'm thinking of possibly using them to remove a drain plug on the side of an engine that is hard to reach, but without a flex head I don't think it would work.

The 8x10mm is 9", the 19x21mm is 16".

Got it yesterday! You missed a great deal if you did not grab one. Mine is Made in Taiwan and the finishing is pretty good. They are quite long but because of the lockable pivot, these should be useful at many different places where regular long pattern would not fit.

Just used mine for the first time yesterday. Made getting to a tricky PCV valve a breeze. I think they will be a great addition to any toolbox.

well they will be back there again. They were at 50 july and aug this year. Went back to 89 for 2 weeks, then drop down to 50 again when I brought it with a bunch of discounts and walk aways with them for a tad over 33 dollars.

If you set up a sears profile. Just do the follow price and set it for 50 dollars and they will alert you once the price drops to that price again.

it is individual codes, you used it once and they it will no longer accept it. I tried to double it, no dice. It is free if you join the craftsman club.

I am a cc member, but never received any coupon code like that.
