Finally got my Williams Taiwan (Blue Point) metric 12pt deep set from MRO Center today. Williams USA doesn't make deep mm in 12pt, or that's what I would've bought instead. It took a while to get here, but worth the $33.70 price tag.
DSCN1536.jpg

Only complaint would be that it was a mixed batch, some had Taiwan stamped into them, and some had stickers. I noticed the ones with stickers were chromed all the way through, while the ones stamped weren't.

No big deal. You get what you pay for, and once they're buried in grease and grime, I probably won't even remember

VW/Audi repairs on the way, by the looks of things. What's the P/N on those Mac roto ratchets? I looked for them on the Mac website, but that site makes my blood boil. It's worse than the Sears site, which is saying something.

Yeah, timing belt, water pump, and Tstat on 4.2L

Damn, I want a set of those shallow metric impacts really bad. How much did you pick them up for?

Replacing the clutch on my friends car next weekend and an excuse to buy this. Got tired of borrowing one so now I have my own.

A few things I bought recently. Some bargains, some full price.

$120 for the white box
$150 for the drill press
$1500 for the snap on boxes (they're much more expensive over here, I should quickly add, and I paid a premium because I wanted boxes to match my green parts cabinet).

I detail cars as a sideline since I retired last year and love it. This is a tool I need in my arsenal. I got a coupon for a free 60 day membership to BJ's club and this was on sale for 69.99 if you are a member. I got the 3" polisher and 3 waxing and 3 polishing pads for <$100.00.

I'd been watching a mis-priced or mis-described 1/4" impact set on Amazon for a long time but never had a reason to do anything about it. Well, I recently started using my little Bosch impactor more and decided it was time. Besides, I had a $75 Amazon credit that I had forgotten about.

Here is my $70 purchase :bounce: :

Ive been on a bit of a Buying spree as of late, Most of this was done over the last 2 weeks from Ebay/Classifieds and My local Snappy dealer. Here some pictures of my "Busted *** tools" before casually resting before they head out to the shop.

DSC03570.jpg

My first set of these Wrenches, Ill be looking for there SAE counterpart.

I really tried to use my Matco 88's, I use alot of 3/8" drive stuff and i was having crazy issues with my Ratchets binding up for no aparent reason. I tore them down, Inspected them and lightly relubed and they would be fine for awhile and then out of the blue.. Surprise!!.

DSC03573.jpg

Low Profile 3/8" Metric, Ill be picking the sockets up next time im on the Truck if i dont win a Ebay auction Prior.

DSC03574.jpg

Extensions... These Bogo Deals made them very plentiful on the Secondary Market, I took full advantage.

DSC03575.jpg

Not Tools but i did manage to score about $100 bucks worth of Junk Silver for $25 bucks. Rawr..

Any more of those available?

What was that set described as??

It was described as this set (9771) and sometimes it had a pic of 9771... but sometimes it had a pic of the chisel set (cs110). I guess one number was wrong somewhere. They sent two sets of chisels and it took lots of doing, but they finally sent me the 9771 set. Unfortunately, that means it is all fixed now.

Finally completed my collection of 6-pt Proto SAE sockets - 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" std and deep. The std 3/8" are obviously 12 pt. I already had 6 pt set of Nepros, so I didn't need 6 pt Protos.

I also picked up a couple Japanese tools: a Koken Attack Driver

Koken Attack driver.jpg

...and an Engineer brand pliers. The pliers is extremely well made, and has a unique jaw design that allows for grabbing a screw head-on. This is really nice when the screw head is stripped out and a screw driver will no longer grab. I bought it sort of on a whim, but I've found it to be be uber-useful.

3/8" drive, 18" long flex head EZ-RED ratchet (72t). I've been looking for a long 3/8 ratchet for a while now. At $22, I couldn't pass it up.
