I have completed my album of my October-November 2011 barn build. Please take a look and let me know what you think. Ready for electrical and insulation as the next phase hopefully starting in next couple weeks. any and all ideas of how to finish it out would be appreciated!

Looks like its gonna be a nice shop! Good size, and cool colours. Are you going to have a lift?

I also like that you built the garage before the house. You know the priorities.

Floors are 5" thick. Wife actually picked the colors, I would have picked a brown or tan combination. But I have received LOTS of great comments on our color selection from neighbors and people just stopping by to chat about the barn. Even noticed a couple barns with our color combination popping up in our area.

5" thick floors, you must have graded the outside and inside prior to pouring the concrete?

Power company is suppose to have power trenched into my meter base in the next 2-3 weeks! Then comes the fun part the internal finishing. I have "I think" decieded on studding walls with vertical 2x4's on 2 ft centers with R-19 fiberglass insulation stapled to the 2x4's, 6 mil vapor barrier with 4x8 OSB hung horizontal from floor to ceiling. After visiting several friends shops they have me convinced on running wiring in conduit on the surface of the OSB. Gives many options on adding future circuts and easier than fishing wire through insulated walls down the road. But still open to any thoughts and ideas on any of my finishing ideas. Spray foam is out of the budget for sure so no need to suggest that option. Oh, also plan on finished steel liner ceiling with blow in insulation on top.
