snap on ratchet question

Greetings

I got this ratchet and the ratcheting seems kind of rough. Can I just open it up and grease it ( like a Proto pear head ) or do I need a kit for it? It says " sealed ratchet do not immerse in fluids " Thanks

They are easy to lube. I use a small flathead with a dollup of lube to hold the tiny ball in place during reassembly. Just be careful to not drop or lose the ball and the rest goes very smooth.

I use synthetic bearing grease in mine, it's a bit heavy compared to most other lubes, but I like the feeling it gives the mechanism.

I cannot see your picture clearly but if that is a 936 ratchet head you can still get a rebuild kit for it. My Snap On dealer rebuilt my Snap On 936 a few months ago.

synthetic light weight grease or light oil. Clean all the parts really good with a solvent first and inspect for wear or signs of slippage.

Im gonna pick up some super lube next saturday. Is super lube viscous like bearing grease?

That FK835 is a coarse 30 tooth ratchet that will always have a horribly rough operation. Release yourself from the misery and sell it to me.
