'Nuther Sub Panel - 60A this time, CU or AL?

After some great advice here, I have decided to run a 60A Sub panel off of my 100A Panel in the Garage... At what point is CU vs AL decision made? I know stupid way of putting the question...Basically when I ran my 100A sub to the garage, I had no heartburn using AL because pricing was VASTLY different...for a 60A sub, looking at #6 CU
I could get some #6 CU THHN or #3 AL

I just had 40' of 2" EMT, plus a box of fittings donated to me, so I'll use that with the THHN.

Length of run is oh...50' at most.

I think EMT for an underground run is a mistake. Schedule 80 PVC is cheap and no chance of rust, etc. Also AL for the run is fine. No need to spend the extra money on CU. Just make sure you use the paste on the teminals if using AL.

No, its all indoors...just come up the wall from my existing 100a sub, across the trusses and down into the rear of the garage.

Whew, glad the EMT is inside. I would pull 3 #6 CU and a #10 Green CU if it were mine.

Dave, it's just a matter of $$$ whether to use copper or aluminum. Do you really need conduit for this run? 2" is rather large. If the conduit isn't needed, use SER to feed the 60A sub-panel.

Conduit isnt needed per se, no dangers in the way...it was given to me, so I figured why not use it. I could easily bring it back and say thanks anyways.. I felt 2" was too big too, but the price was right...
So either #4 AL SER or #6 CU...I assume they make a SER in CU?

Yes, SER comes in copper too.
