I have at least 4 k-rails in my shop. They work great. I like them better than the Rubbermaid ones cause they can easily be cut to size. I've never used the Gladiator product.

kobalt hangers look strong and are about $5 each- the gladiator and rubbermaid hangers are mostly $10 each!

Rubbermaid CAN EASILY BE CUT to size. I've done it and posted pics. Just run the circular saw with metal blade right over whole thing including rubber cover--it cuts like butter and is a very clean cut.

I only have experience with Gladiator and Rubbermaid. Kobalt Looks cool though. Dont worry about prices...you can get what you want cheap if you look for sales. Gladiator is often on sale at Sears; their cabinets are more often on sale on Craigslist and Searsoutlet. Dont just look at the hooks, look at the cabinets and accessories and see if you like them too.

Most important, see what your wife likes so you dont have to waste any more time feeling guilty your $5-$7 hooks and $200+ cabinets.

check out my Gladiator blog, and how I managed to get a lot of this stuff real cheap.

If you like Kobalt's line, because its new, Id imagine it will take a year or two before you can scope out deals.

I went through this a few months ago. I've never seen the Kobalt, but I went with Gladiator rails and Craftsman accessories. The Craftsman accessories are comparable in price to the Gladiator...but they lock. This is huge. I know about half the time I'm taking down a shovel or my trimmer, it hangs up on the hook. Without the locking version, I'm 100% sure I'd be pulling the hooks off the rail. That would frustrate me to no end.

The little locking knob that you give a quarter turn on the Craftsman makes all the difference in the world. If you go to Sears, they carry both. Try them out on the display and you'll see the difference.
