I have these, kept them from my last job installing scoreboards. they are for cutting cable. they work really well but i didn't use them often and started to rust pretty bad.

I saw these G clamps on Yahoo auctions. I thought I could use them so I threw a bid on not expecting to win. The retail price is around $85 each!
I put a bid and won the PAIR for about $18 plus $10 for shipping. I thought the size was 150mm (6 inch) between faces BUT...that's how wide they are.
These things are monsters! Forged steel made in Japan. If I ever get into ship building they'll be useful...

You must have a reasonable level of japanese to be able to use yahoo auctions no? just looking at those hiragana gives me headaches.

The thread on impact drivers had me looking for Vessel tools in Japan.
I found these wooden handle socket drivers.
I don't know how practical they are but they look great.
