What happened to the 99 cent socket super sales that were happening several months back? Are we just not finding out about them anymore or did Sears wise up?

For Sears, this holiday season could be the most crucial yet. Low sales numbers aren't going to fly, so I actually expect some pretty good deals to get people in the doors of stores.

I just picked up 2 sockets for 2 cents! Used my $4 worth of points and got 2 1/4" sockets I was missing!

It was actually a clearance due to them resetting their peg boards and reducing the amount of slow movers and non dual marked sockets.

It was not a 99 cent sale because they were nice and plan to do it again anytime soon.

True but we all said the same thing last holiday season and the sales were average at best.

I sit back and wait for the US stuff to go on sale or clearance, then I clean house. There will come a time where a bunch of old stuff will be cleared out in one fell swoop. There is still a TON of craftsman old stock out there, some still sitting on the shelves. Once management is changed at Sears, all that will be liquidated.

Save on printing costs, like quit printing multiple receipts for jewelery and women's clothes when I make a tool purchase.

Kmart has the most ridiculous receipts but Sears is pretty bad sometimes with all the damn coupons.

Coupons are one thing, but the receipt itself is 3ft long. Honestly they hand me a total of 7 receipts when I go in to buy a center punch.

it's ever crazier when you exchange something. You end up with 6ft of tape. I like how they can just send the reciept you an email address now.

Good point, I guess maybe I just have a case of wishful thinking! I would assume that they will at least have the cordless drill for $40 and 50% off some sets. Oh, and a compressor or floor jack for a reasonable discount.
