Ordered on the 28th and received on the 30th. Had to have them shipped to me, for only $6.22, b/c there's no Sears Outlet near me. Sorry for the craptastic pics. These are the 14 piece metric and sae industrial wrench sets.

Thank You. Depending on that, I will order one from their site, as my snap on guy quit and has not been replaced in 8 months yet. Lame.

Been bored to tears since my wife went back up north this week (I move back next week) so I stumbled into the 24hr Advance at 2am this morning and bought a few little Gearwrench items, Klien crimpers and a Powerbuilt serpentine belt tool.

Went to drop off the tools and discovered my latest Snap On order had arrived. Got in the female torx I was curious about about I believe they are worth the premium over GW. Super thin walls and better machining.

I hate you... I want a set of these so bad and you keep tempting me. I have the 13 pc of Cman Pros though so I can't justify.

They were on sale as sets at my local lowes, I actually like these a little better than the hansen's because you can flip them and actually see if they are 6 or 12 point sockets. Pretty handy for when buddies are looking for tools. I know the SAE set(red) was on sale for 14.99 or 14.97 and I convinced the girl at the counter the blues were also:thumbup: She must of wanted me for my body:spit: Online the red SAE are on sale but the blue metrics aren't, I can get a better comparison picture of hansen vs kobalts at home if need be

http://www.lowes.com/pd_393408-2232...y&pl=1&currentURL=?Ntt=socket+tray&facetInfo=

I just ran by there but didn't pull the trigger. The 3 pack of the tall (Hansen style) ones were still $25. They had new 3 piece sets that were stubby compared to the ones in the picture there, and were on sale. Didn't look bad at all, but I just got off work and just wanted to get home. Might stop back by tomorrow and actually pull them out of the box and see how they look.

Metroid, you're not a high school girl. You're a grown *** adult male with good taste in tools.

This is one of my favorite threads on this forum but I never contribute to it. I don't know if its because it seems a little weird or if I'm just lazy but I never take pics of my new tools. Anyway, here's a start...

I have been on a hammer buying kick lately. New in this pic is a Vaughan 3# Blacksmith hammer, Estwing (Trusty Cook) 21 & 45oz softface and 47oz ball peen dead blow hammers. The Estwing 26oz ball peen hammer is relatively new too. It replaced a 16oz Craftsman (Vaughan) hammer I gave my son. I love Estwing hammers as they are built like tanks but I think this is one tool I'd rather have a wood handle for? I may have to sell this one and get another Vaughan?

And I finally got me a nice prybar set too...

I hung out with my mom today and she wanted to go to sears. Figured while i was there might as well check out the close out section for some good USA made stuff thats leftover. Used my reward points and ended up paying roughly 6 dollars for this set.

The rethreading set is one of my most useful tools in my box. I am just a weekend warrior but i end up using it at least once a month to clean up our fix a cross threaded or rusty bolt. Every single person should own this set. Saves my **** countless times.

Went to the Pawn Shops today looking for 1/2" metric sockets, bought everything but that. Got the S&K setup for $50. Already sold the metric stuff including the ratchet and extensions to a buddy for $60 :D (all I wanted was the SAE stuff to round out my 1/4 collection). Made a **** tool stop at HF and Advance and picked up some odds and ends.

Wife gave me a ratchet rebuild kit for my vintage 3/8 SK for my birthday, wasn't expecting that at all. Already installed it, going to be a favorite ratchet for sure.

Metroid - who made the punch set (SK)?

How do you like it and what did it run your $ wise?

Tanks!

Brand is ATD model number "720" 20 piece set.

I did a quick google search and it retails for about $28, but I got it with my company discount for $12

I haven't had to use it yet but ill let you know my thoughts in the kit once I do

Lucky snag - I stopped by my local Sears today hoping to pick up this set on clearance. They had 3 in stock but still marked at full price.
