Yup, confirmed, mine is not what's in the pic (yeah, took my sweet time I know - it was sent to my family house about a week after we left under a cloud lol).

Can't get it refunded immediately either - grrrr!

Edit: Got an answer from Amazon within the hour! :shocking:

They've immediately refunded me, and told me to keep it as shipping it back would be "prohibitively expensive". Wow... Did I mention that I love Amazon?

that is not made by snap-on or bahco. they have been sold under many names including s-k. i would bet money that the the bottom side of the chrome direction ring says reverse gear, who mfg'd that driver and is located in taiwan.

i have the sk branded one and it is a decent driver but absolutely not made by snap-on.

I have the same one that's branded as a stanley "expert". Got it from the mac truck.

Will love to send it to you but will cost about 20 dollars to ship it. That's with my discount with fed ex. You will get it in 2 days.

I can help if you can't find anyone else. That's the least I can do since this has been going on almost a year now ;)

But then again if I were you just spend another 10 dollars and order the Williams one. I love mine as much as the snap on one. ( both have the same internals and tip) only thing different is the handles

Just my .02 cents....
Assuming that the ratcheting mechanism is the same as my Vessel one, it's nothing to praise about as they aren't that smooth. Williams/Snap-on, the Taiwanese "Reverse Gear" (Wera, Bahco, Bost, SK, Blue-point, SEK, etc), and the Canadian Megapro ratcheting mechanisms are nice and smooth.

Thanks man, appreciated :D

I wanted one as I was curious, and it looks pretty tough. I already have SO ones (hope to get more), as well as a Vessel stubby, and a no-name I got from Woolworths in the UK many years ago. Can you ever really have enough? lol Seriously, most are in NZ at the mo, and will be there for the forseeable future.

Plan was to use it when out and about in scrap yards etc - no way I'm taking SO gear with me! lol

PS I'm pretty sure it's been more than a year now ;) , and yeah, I can be pretty obsessive about finding stuff... despite having sets in 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 in Koken, it's still a search I perform every day, and don't ask me about looking for Aigo wrenches... when I have the money, I will be hitting up GJ members in the phillippines and malaysia lol

let me know if you need anything in the good old US of A. I would again recommend the Williams one for your scrap yard searches.

I have a ratcheting screwdriver, with 1/4 hex magnetic bit tip. It does not have the cap for bit storage. It is part of a DURA PRO SnakeDriver set that includes a 12 inch flexible extension with an LED attached and a set of bits in an additional flat, black, plastic bit holder.
My screwdriver has the same two patent numbers USA 6450087 and ROC 171295. There is a small chance the US patent number is 6450037, but I think it ends with 87; not 37..
The packaging says made in Taiwan and has a 2008 copyright.
The packaging also says, "Patented and Patents Pending".
