Milwaukee just released the specs for their upcoming line of M12 drills, drivers, and impact wrenches.

I posted the full specs and details via TG:

http://toolguyd.com/milwaukee-m12-fuel-brushless-drill-driver-specs/

Most notable torque specs:

drill/driver: 350 in-lbs
3/8" impact wrench: 1400 in-lbs
impact driver: 1200 in-lbs

This doesn't blow competing products out of the water, but it's definitely creates a large gap between Milwaukee and Dewalt/Bosch/Makita/other major brands. I'd bet everyone else will look to play catchup if they're not already working on their own next-gen products.

There are a couple of other major feature improvements, such as 1/2" drill chuck and torque settings for the impacts.

Stuey, Looks apitizing. My Dad went ahead and picked up the C'man 20v Bolt-on or whatever they call their version. He bought the impact head too, after charging the battery he began testing it. Like a 70+ year old kid in the BenGay store, lol...He took 2 bikes apart that were rusted bolts, axles ect., said it just went (puts lips togother w/o teeth) pabapaba ect. and it was done, lol.

will there be a fuel m12 ratchet?

I dont think extra power would be needed here. 35lbs is comparable to most air ratchets. Alot of powerr on a air ratchet is just going to twist your wrist.

They need to release a fuel version of the m18 high toque impact now. I saw they are going to release a compact 1/2"drive and 3/8" drive fuel.

Well I guess if HD won't trade/refund me for my regular M12 tools I'll ask Milky if they will, I could use the extra Red Li-Ion batts in brushless tools.

If not, your best bet would be to sell at a slight loss. There are a couple of months before the tools will be released, plenty of time to figure things out.

Hey Stuey, your article says the m12 fuel stuff is coming out next year, does that mean the m18 fuel impact drivers are going to be delayed that long too? I was kind of expecting them to come out sooner since they've already released the m18 fuel drill\driver and hex impact.

The impact wrenches? Last I checked there was no definitive ETA, just a notice that they're "coming soon." There's a good chance they won't be out until early 2013 as well. I'll check my inbox and paperwork to see if I have any releases that might have a release date. Maybe the original ETA was Q4 2012.

CrustyNut, Thanks, I had to laugh when he told me too. He told me he will try the lug nuts on the van & Jeep, then I'll post the results. He likes that an air pump is one of the bolt-ons, just hope he don't try and make that noise and spit all over the kitchen.

I don't regret my m12 impact driver purchase but I certainly will be getting the brush-less impact wrench.

I like the new handle design as well, I have a feeling the extra length was not added simply to make the taper near the top of the handle, but to add a bit of volume for the more involved electronics, the chance to recontour the handle was a happy accident. The tools have great specs, I have some M12 gear, but the majority of the impactors, impact wrenches and drills I have are Bosch. Seeing that Bosch has announced the 18V brushless tools (thanks, Stuey!), it wil be a tossup when I add tools to my lineup. I have the Fuel hammerdrill, and it's a fantastic piece. In a few years most of your upper tier cordless tools will be brushless in all applications that benefit the most from it.
