I was in my local Sears Hometown to pick up the magnetic tray I got for free with my SYW points. While there, I surfed the very small tool section. I was almost about to stop when I saw a 3-pc scraper set with what looked like Wilde handles. Checked, and the set was USA made. Looked at the price, and it was marked down to $8.97 from over $24. I grabbed two, one for me and one for my brother for Christmas. When the gal rang me up, the total was under $12. I told her they were marked over $8 each, but she told me they had been marked down again.

The number on the package is 943293.

So basically, you could buy four sets at this price before matching the "normal" price.

It was a struggle on my end not to buy every set they had, but I'm trying to be judicious about how I spend my limited funds.

Go get you some!

I wish I could find those that cheap, I will pop into my Sears on Monday and see but I doubt I will find them. Nice deal, they would match my pry bars perfectly!

Steven, the link you gave still has it at $22+. Is this a local deal that Bull got?

I asked the owner of the store if the markdown decision was corporate or local. He said it was a corporate decision to get stock out the door after it had been sitting on the shelves for too long.

Can it be that only his store got the memo? I don't know how this stuff works.

Bull, you ****!

I have those, but paid list price for 'em (was trying to burn up the tail end of a gift card). Still worth it, they work well.

I did not get back to the store today. I was at work until noon, then dropped in to check on my parents and then took care of my kid. I am sorry. I'm going to try and get over there tomorrow.

Looks like the OP went to a Sears Hometown store, not a regular Sears. Could be why people are having a hard time finding them for the same price. We dont have any Hometown stores in Colorado that sell tools, only one that sells appliances.

I checked my hometown store in Oakhurst, CA... no dice: they were full price

How's the family doing? Is the handle on the scraper rubber/plastic or.....?
