....is fast becoming my favorite!

it's good to know there are like-minded crazy people who obsess over a good deal for their garage--needed or not. witness that home depot thread, a.k.a. the "i just bought 17 under-bench storage cabinets, no idea what i'm gonna do with 'em but doggonit it was a DEAL!"

I like to get a deal here and there. I usually get stuff that i was thinking of getting, and when the price is right i go for it. Sometimes i get an extra to give to a buddy.

but Im not one of those people that get like 50 packs of $5 vise grips or 10 of each size $1 sockets, and clears out everystore within a 75 mi radius. I think they buy them to resell :dunno:. And some just have problems.. This is a disadvantage of this forum, or slickdeals. Hopefully some members ****** them to trade/sell to others on this forum.

I dont know if theres a rule or not on this forum, but i hate when people link to Ebay ads. It just drives the price way up.
Snooze, you lose, i guess.

If I find a good deal, I buy what I need most of the time. But I also buy for my friends who I think will need them and I sell them to them for what I paid for them. I dont like to clean out a store and resell them. (even though some of the deals would make it easy to do) I like to leave some for others

I'll be honest if something that is normally $15 and you buy it for $5, reselling is still not worth the hassle. Other deals, such as the tool cart, while potential margins are great, the bulk itself makes it impossible to easily ship it around.

For some measly few bucks in profit, I am not about to waste gas driving around and haggling for what are otherwise measly returns.

The only problem is when people clear stores out of product, but I guess that is our human nature. Fortunately, our community here is small enough that we do not compete with one another much, unlike people on SD and other comparable places.
