I can't find these things for the life of me.

"Normal" open-ended wrenches have a radiused "U shape" with two flats on the sides to grip a fastener.

The ones I'm looking for have a v-shaped notch cut into them.
Anyone know where I can find these things? Preferably from a good manufacturer.

Thanks in advance,
T

You might have to buy a used older set, but offhand I remember seeing Wright, Bonney, Mac, and Cornwell with this feature.

I'm not sure why you would want a wrench with that shape. It may look good, but it's an inferior design.

The V shaped notch creates three stress risers - one at each corner. This makes the wrench weaker.

The usual justification for a wrench with the V shaped notch is that contact on four sides of a fastener is better than two. That is true. However, when force is applied, the wrench tends to push away from the fastener leaving only two surfaces exerting force on the fastener. This means that the V shape is not any better at preventing fasteners from being rounded off.

yup... seen some wrenches that have cracks at that point. I have a Bonney with that design, but I don't use it.
