Hi all

I have 3 car garage and now have a scissor lift in the middle of it.
Bought the house with standard 4 x 24'' fluorescent light fixtures. They slowly but steadily start failing.
Also, due to them being positioned towards the house garage portion, door portion of it is much dimmer. Not an issue when it's warm outside, I simply pop door open, but winter time - got to keep it closed, while working inside.

I know, I am probably unleashing a demon, but what would be a reasonably priced, not requiring much remodeling, energy saving, and well working new light fixtures solution?:dunno: Garage has attic with access.

Thank you

I purchased these at a great price on eBay. They were old stock but new, they are covered in porcelain. I wish I would have bought 6 more i now need them for my new shop addition.
They are manufactured by Lithonia and Hubble.

Thank you.
I know the lights, I had them in my shop at work, at old location. Those are something like halogen bulbs. I was told they are very expensive, though I had to replace none in eight fixtures in 4 years. VERY BRIGHT. That they were.

Hows that lift work? dual hyro rams..no cable or chain? What do the stops look like if you blow a line? I blew on on my forklift a few years back with aobut a 1500lb load and it came down in a hurry. Also how do you like your dtac? I bought one...used it a few times, but just did not see the value at 3500 for it off my snappy truck..so traded it back in...i know 3500 was a deal for a brand new on with cart..but again...3500 for a charger? I have seen them on Ebay for $750 so I was thinking of buying a used one...this go around.

I bought the dtac at auction from an oil change garage that went under. As far as the lift, it has hydraulic rams with massive chains and stops. I can take pics of it if you'd like.

Cutie, I think the LED's are a great option if you have the $$. I haven't priced LED fixtures lately but the last time I checked the cost savings in energy would take a long time to make up for the increased cost of LED fixtures over T8 fluorescent fixtures.

I have three of the Lithonia ones that Pattenp posted from HD in my 600 sqft garage and they work great. You could always add another one at the end of the garage to add more light when the door is closed.

In a garage you need relative high lumen output. To achieve this with high light levels is expensive. High quality LED lighting works well but has not come down to a price that justifies performance. Not only are they expensive, but they typically last 50,000 hours (with 70% lumen maintenance LM70). A T5HO luminaire has lamps that last 35,000 hours, cost a fraction of the price, put out high CRI light, and when the lamps burn out you buy new ones. Check out a four lamp T5HO high bay at Access Fixtures. https://www.AccessFixtures.com/4-Lamp-T5-High-Bay-Fixtures-p/af66-4-t5ho.htm
It is probably exactly what you are looking for,
