I almost sucked today.

I just missed out on a year-old KRL1022 on CL... $2500 OBO, and not 20 miles up the road from me.

Been posted since midweek, I just found it yesterday and decided to call this morning... he sold it yesterday.

Even worse, I've been looking for a KRL722 and not finding any <$2k, this is NOT going to help me feel like I'm finding a good deal on one.

I've had my eyes on a 722 locally for a couple weeks now. Dude had it listed with a top box for $4k, sold the top box and listed the roll cab for $2200, now he's had it listed for $2500 for a while now. Maybe one day soon I'll see if he's interested in dropping $500+ and returning to reality.

Man, I didn't even want the extra height or depth of the 1022, but for that price, I woulda lived with it with a smile on my face.

Eh, I've been on the fence about it... I'd love a nice, big box with double full width drawers, but I still don't want to spend the money on it.

But for $2500, I woulda thought long and hard about flipping it and using the profit to buy most of a 722. Much better than almost the same price for a giant HF box.

Well, turns out I decided to let it bother me for a little over a year. I talked my dealer into $2700 for a new KRL722. Not as low as I wanted, but I've got a few months to pay it off, interest free. I feel kinda dumb doing that being as I had the cash to buy it, but it woulda hamstrung me pretty good tying all that money up at once.

In other news, I'm impatient. I've got another 3-4 weeks to wait.
