trying to get slides replaced truck driver says call matco, matcoo says talk with driver finally get a part number the glide is discontinued so now what? Call the toolbox hotline guy there tells me new part number for glides but I have to modify box have to drill 2 holes for ech glide, one in box and one in drawer. But i still dojnt know how to swap them under warranty I have the part number but I cannot purchase them they are for warranty only

Grainger carries a good selection of slides. Just a suggestion, maybe they have the one your looking for.

thats not cool,they should be willing to fix you up under warranty,lots of times they will offer to help even if it is not under warranty.

Do your slides say "Accuride" on them? If so, I might suggest going that route instead of modifying your box.

i've had great experiences with the Matco reps i've spoke to over the phone. I'd try calling again and if you dont get satisfaction ask for a supervisor.

This. ^ If it is an older box, Matco, Mac, and Snap-On used slides from accuride. Call them up with the dimensions on the slide and the box type (number), may get you somewhere.

By modifying your box it means drilling a small hole in the drawer and the box for a screw or a rivet, to hold the new slides in place. It is nothing that will affect the strength of your box, and is NOT VISIBLE from the outside. Some of the older Matco boxes that had friction slides are now warrantied with ball bearing slides. You're driver is being a ****! Call Matco and ask to be put in touch with a district manager in your area. They prolly won't give you his number but will pass yours along to him.

well true to his word 12 new sliders arrived today, heavy as hell box, but he didnt send the screws like i was told i needed no big deal, Now to unload the box so I can install them

So punish the guy that didn't make, break, or even sell the item. That driver does not warranty those slides Matco Tools does so let them take care of it as it seems they have. That would be like shoplifting something from walmart because your tv broke while it was under warranty and they told you to contact Sony to get it repaired.

Thats what the tool drivers are for. They sell tools and handle warranties.

Good for you. had to do this very same thing with my Mac box a few years ago. Several calls to the DM got it resolved.

I dont have a regular matco guy so i had to chase one, but box is getting traded in or sold soon for a new snap on
