Great deal.

I've owned this impact for about 8 months. Very impressed with it. Strong enough to bust header bolt on an 4.8 Vortec engine. Comes in handy with low torque bolts on a car.

I grabbed one of these. I have been using a hand-me-down deWalt impact driver with just one old battery for a while now. Time to upgrade, babay!

I just picked up one. Wanted to use up my SYWR rewards and try another Bosch product.

I think I paid around $130 after tax and after turning in my $5 or so of SYWRP. Last night I saw that Amazon has a kit with the driver, drill, two batteries and a bag or case for $199 shipped. Do you guys think that's a better deal, essentially paying $60 for the drill to be thrown in?

Yes, if you need the drill, $60 is a good price. BUT the 180 drill has been $99 for a while several places and that includes two batteries/charger/case as well. So I wouldn't fret, for $30 more than Amazon you could have both plus twice as many batteries and chargers

Yup, the 2 additional batteries are would be 100 bucks by themselves and having a second charger is handy when doing a big job. It really does not matter when you consider getting 2 more batteries and 1 charger for 30 dollars more. And personally, the slim packs run down fast. So having 4 batteries would be allot better set.

that kit bull looked at has the dds181 drill, which is a better drill than the one we have seen for $99. The 99 drill is only 3/8 chuck and not as powerful as the dds181

I had the same dilemma as Bull, as I really could use the drill more than another impact and had been eyeing that Amazon kit for $199. But, Bull could just buy the bare tool 181 drill for $60 and have it essentially be a wash.

The $99 Bosch at Lowes is a 1/2" drill - the DDB, not the DDS. It is 400 in-lb vs the 181's 600 in-lb. I have both, unless you are expecting to be doing ******** work with a 18v drill I think he'd be happy with either. Especially since he already has the impact driver.

Personally, the two extra batteries are more valuable to me than the 200 in-lbs, simply because both are great 18v tools that will **** the batteries.

I may be spoiled as I never ask too much from my 18v tools, they are great drivers and small drills, but when I have real work to do I reach for my Bosch 36v. It is several years old and was my first Lithium product to replace my Bosch 24v Nicad set, and it has been absolutely fantastic and has an insane amount of power. I will always reach for the 36v instead of an impact tool, much easier on the ears and it drives much faster anyway.

What do you plan on doing with the drill? You already have the impact tool, so outside of trying to drill too large a hole, the cheaper drill should do well for you. If the extra power is important, you can buy the bare drill now and always buy something with more batteries when time/money permits.

I don't think you can go wrong with the current line of Bosch tools, or any of the name brand Lithium tools overall.

Yep, 1/2 inch chuck and less power on the ddb lowes drill, you are right. I looked at it today and it looks and feels cheap compared to the dds drill. I hate the noise on those impacts too - beyond annoying.

Got mine today, looks like it was sitting around for a while, cardboard box had some wear. Must be why they dropped the price so much. It comes in another box about twice the sizer of the drill box for those of you getting shipped to your house.

Picked up the impact deal at Sears and then ordered the $ 60 drill from Amazon.
Impact is great and drill hasn't arrived.
I really wanted to try some cordless Bosch and couldn't pass this up.
