German Stainless steel side cutters dikes - whatever

I just picked up a pair of stainless steel dykes. The fit and finish is the best I have ever seen! On one side they are marked with an R with a partial outline, sort of a square with the bottom open surrounding the R. This is followed by: 21-0272. Below it says: Germany Stainless

On the other side are the initials (or company name?) EKS.

I've been unable to locate any info about them.

Anybody know of the source?

I think they make medical/personal hygiene items. Stainless is actually a terrible choice for mechanics tools due to poor durability/high hardness.
