It takes awhile for that slow boat from Malaysia to show up. I got mine, It just takes awhile.:)

I was hoping that it would have been a little bit faster since I was sending the rebate to a city in my own state. I guess I'm not that lucky.

hold on..., you have the new one with the clutch? not just the CTS561?

I do, in fact I have both, well our small company does. I'm gonna sell the other cts561 and replace it with the clutch model as well. My dealer got them in stock 2 weeks ago. Its $162, and includes a pretty nice belt clip holster. The clutch works very well, and its a bit smoother quieter than the no clutch cts561.

Snap on could really use some innovation in the Battery operated tool department.

However, since THEY are the rebadgers in this field, there is not likely much to be done.

I wouldn't trade my Milwaukee V28 for any new Snappy tool that is battery operated.

But, lest we not forget... Snappy is a Credit Company, and that is where the money really is.

Who do you think makes the recip saw?

Check out the comparison specs. It doesnt see to make the Snap-on too desirable, Im amazed the have that in their advertising.

Chad,

:) I suppose that Milwaukee tools are making their stuff for them.

Still not in V28 power though....

The made in USA is a nice touch.

Maybe, but I have held the new snap on recip in my hands, it doesnt have much at all in common with a milwaukee. The blade release is different than any other brand I have ever seen.

I've had the new screwdriver with the clutch for about a month now. The clutch is great, especially useful on interior trim pieces and screws that go into plastic. Working on police and fire cars/trucks means lots of wiring and under dash work, and it is the perfect size for that kind of thing. I use the hell out of it usually with a 1/4" socket adapter, though I do use the bits as well.

The one complaint that I have is that I was replacing rubber gaskets on a diesel fuel tank for an asphalt recycler, and got a bunch of diesel on it, and now the red lettering on the side wiped off and is now white, but that's a fairly minor complaint IMO.

Even though it is diesel hearing about any kind of fuel on an electric tools kinda freaks me out

Eh, it was all over my hands and because of that, the screwdriver as well. I grabbed the wrong rag out of my cart when I went to wipe it down, a fairly well soaked one, instead of the clean one. It wasn't swimming in it. Not a huge deal.

Just wondering if this one is just the same size as the other model.

It is slightly larger. You can only tell when they are side by side, the clutch version is maybe 1/8-3/16 longer from the back of the motor to the bit socket. The difference is VERY slight.
