New to me 26 x 30 declutter project

Well my fiance and I just bought our first house a couple months back. It has a nice 30W x 26D garage. It was the catch all when we moved. Everything was unloaded off the truck and put in the garage from there we took it where it needed to go at our leasure. Well after everything went into the house I realized how much stuff I had for the garage haha. I then went and bought some cabinets from an auction. They were from a home ec room at a local high school. They are some super heavy duty cabinets. I put up all the pegboard at the same time. I started organizing my things into the cabinets but then things got busy and progress stopped. I will use this thread to document my progress on cleaning things up. Enjoy!

Well the pile next to the mowers is my pile of stuff to be auctioned off. The mowers, motorcycle, and rest of garden stuff is going into the 16x12 shed I am planning on building in the next few months. I have a bridgeport milling machine and a hardinge lathe that are in my warehouse space that I will be brining at the end of this month. There is a lot that is going into the attic but dont want it to turn into just a catch all.

Nice house and garage. Is it in N.C.? I spotted a "Drink Cheerwine" sign, It's a cherry drink made in N.C. and hard to get even in VA.

Actually I am in Ohio. The company my dad used to work for was located in charlotte. Every year they would send us a case of cheerwine for christmas and I love it. I was at a garage sale and saw that sign for $2 so I bought it up. Every year we vacation in NC and I buy a couple cases of it. I do a lot of ebay sales and found out that my cheerwine sign is worth $60 - $80 but I dont think I can sell it.

As for the mess I guess the only person I can blame is myself . It cant get much worse so the only way to go is u from here haha. I need to build my sed to get a lot of the lawn care clutter out of there.

I need to build some shelves in the attaic to store things as well as the shed. After that I should have no excuses haha!

I havent had much time to spend in the garage past few nights but slowly getting things put away.

I think it would be neat to make a dumb waiter lift to take things to the attic. I have seen them before but they are pretty expensive.

The lift is the MaxJax from Dannmar. Google it and you'll get loads of info. I paid $1800.00 on a group GJ buy, they've gone up some but you can find them for around. $2000.00 There are quite a few threads here about it.

Well I did some cleaning and organizing to the garage. Still a lot to do but at least I can get 2 cars in there now. The pile of stuff next to the mowers disappears next week. Hopefully the jetta will be finished within the next couple weeks and I can sell it. What do you guys think?

Neat looking house. Most these days are boxes. Garage and attic overhead are awesome for something you didn't spec/plan yourself. Starting to outgrow my basic 20x20'.

Actually I bought it and the guy said it needed an engine. (That's what his mechanic told him). I tore into it and found a broken cam. So I put a $200 head on it and it runs fine now. The only reason I haven't put it all back together is when the guy started tearing things off because he was going to fix it(didn't get too far) he cut the wires for the fans at the fans with no room to crimp or solder instead of just unplugging the. Needless to say he wasn't the smartest guy.

But yes I have taken the front ends off these cars it just makes doing timing belts that much easier (mainly on audis since the engine sits conventionally in the car).

I like the German cars they always sell well

We looked at so many houses because we did not want a cookie cutter house that looks just like your neighbors. But I also wanted a good size garage and privacy. Needless to say it took us awhile to find it but now that we have it we love it. Although the garage could be a tad bigger . Haha

It is actually a sears kit house built in 1929
