Holy **** this is a great idea.. This is the second one I've purchased, however my first one I've thrown a heck of a-lot of tough projects at it and it still works like a champ.

Automatic locking pliers made by CH Hanson. Literally just set the tension and grab what you need to grab at any size!

I've got one like that is about 30 years old that I think came from sears, so it's not a new idea.

I have a few of those and if its a monday and they dont feel like working right they can be a huge pain in the ***. I still prefer my good ole usa visegrips

Hey ive got your back, I went a did a bunch of research on locking pliers just last month. Ended up buying the 3pc set of these CH Hansons.

Great pliers, way way faster then your Vise-grips. Yep, said it, true story.

Both pliers have their attributes, Vise-grips are a bit more industrial. Great for repeated locking jobs.

But the Hansons are way faster if you are doing multiple projects and clamping jobs. Nearly as tough and built just as good if not better then the now COO Vise-grips.

I do like those, and they do have their place. I have not tried this specific brand though, and the issue I was having is it couldnt grab anything that would compress. Example: 2 pieces of sheet metal with air in between, or a rubber hose. Have these overcome that problem?

well.. lets put it this way.. I can put the jaw on my finger and squeeze down. it will adjust to the size of my finger without any discomfort. Only when the clamping mechanism is engaged will it squeeze...

I like my vise grips, but I have smaller hands so maybe that is why I don't have a problem when working with mine.

Those look pretty nice thou  Maybe I'll look around for a pair to add to my collection.

i just used a pair of those the other day. way to bulky and uncomfotable to hold.

*don't know where the reply went but anyway to answer it..... the adjustment side of them is really fat, feels like twice the size of vise grips. very uncomfotable to hold, at least for me. *
